First free guided walk of the year at our Dickleburgh Moor Nature Reserve

Guided Walk & Bird Ringing ~ 14th May
Join us on Thursday 14th May for our first guided walk of the year.
Parking in our sheep field on Norwich Road, at 7pm, we will walk across the site, looking for birds, insects and seasonal flowers.
We will then walk up to the woodland for a bird ringing demonstration and check the Barn Owl, Kestrel and Blue Tit boxes.
This is a free event and is suitable for all ages.
*Please note that the bird ringing will not take place if its raining.

The team at RSPCA Stapeley Grange are doing a great job with this young otter.
We always advise that the RSPCA should be the first option if you find a young otter.

Today we surveyed Black Poplar trees in North Norfolk.
We also completed otter surveys at our own sites, confirming a new holt at our Earsham Wetland Centre site and fresh spraint at our Dickleburgh Moor Nature Reserve
Paul Mayhew also sent us a pic of an otter at Dickleburgh Moor last week.

We would like to thank everyone who has supported our Dickleburgh Moor Nature Reserve this year.

We would like to thank everyone who has supported our Dickleburgh Moor Nature Reserve this year.

We would like to thank our neighbours, friends, supporters and colleagues from associated organisations for supporting us throughout the year.
Special thanks go to colleagues from the Waveney Bird Club, Tree Council, Natural England, Broads Authority, Norfolk County Council, Norfolk FWAG and Defra, who have helped with specific projects and planning for the year ahead.
For support on a daily basis we would like to thank Abigail & Matthew. Emma & Jason are always on hand when we need to move horses and Russell has stepped in to cut the grass paths when we've had mechanical issues. For promoting our site via their wonderful photos, we would like to thank Trevor, Paul and Russell (and the many others who share images from our site).

The Tree Council visited us last week to see our Community Tree Projects. At our Earsham site we grow thousands of trees to use as part of our wetland habitat improvement work across Norfolk and Suffolk. At our Dickleburgh Moor site we are also planting 30,000 hedging trees over the next 18 months.
