The Builth Wells Branch meets regularly at The Greyhound 3 Garth Road, Builth Wells. The Royal British Legion is the UK's leading Armed Forces charity and one of its largest membership organisations. Members get together through the network of branches and clubs all over the country and overseas to participate in social, fundraising and welfare activities. If you have an interest in the objective

s of the Legion and want to help and support for those who have served and their families, come and join us. We welcome men and women of all ages, whether they have served in the Armed Forces or not.

Kick off the 🇬🇧V.E. Day celebrations with a Quiz at The Lamb Builth Wells Wednesday 7th of May at 19:30 and followed by a service and FREE fish and chips at The Fountain Inn - Builth Wells on Thursday the 8th.

The schedule of events for VE80 is as follows:

There will be a service of commemoration at the war memorial at 11am, lead by the Reverend Mark Beaton, which will include a speech from
Adam Johnstone (Major in the Army, Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME).

Veterans are then invited to the Fountain inn at midday for a free fish and chip lunch (courtesy of the Town Council).

The day will then end with the lighting of the beacon on Garth Hill at 9.30pm.
