Community Information Fair 2026

On Wednesday 16th September we held our annual Information Fair at the Wyeside Arts Centre Builth Wells. We had a brilliant day with 31 local organisations attending to showcase their services.

It was a perfect opportunity for networking and for members of the public to access information on local organisations and the services they provide.

A big thank you to the Wyeside and to all the volunteers and staff who made the event a success.

We have a number of organisations attending our Information Fair next week offering demonstrations and health checks.
We will be joined by Bwrdd Iechyd Addysgu Powys / Powys Teaching Health Board Protection Team offering health checks
RNID will be offering hearing checks
St John Ambulance Cymru Rhayader and RNIB will be offering demonstrations

We will also have lots of local organisations attending with information on their services.

For our Charity of the Month, we are proud to support Builth Wells Community Support as voted for by our lovely customers and Facebook community.
Throughout the months of September and October all money raised from our Wool Amnesty, 2nd-hand pattern sales, and spare change collection jars will go directly to support the fantastic work they do right here in our community.
Here’s how you can join in:
🧶Drop off your unwanted yarn: Bring in those surplus skeins and odd balls you won't use for our Wool Amnesty.
❤️ Browse second-hand patterns: donate any old patterns you have in your collection and/or pick up a pre-loved pattern for your next project—every penny goes straight to the collection!
👛 Donate your spare change: Pop any loose coins into our counter tins when you stop by.
Every little bit adds up to make a huge difference. Drop by the shop, say hello, and help us give back to a local charity that supports so many! 💛

We are again in need of bags for our foodbank if anyone has any they would like to get rid of please drop them into the office.

While you're all having a January clear out if you find any carrier bags or bags for life that you no longer need we will happily take them to use for our foodbank. Please pop them into our office - 1 Groe Street (opposite the Groe Carpark) Thank you.
