Forming a base for all surfing members and social members to come and join in all the Inter club contests and social events surfing creates. We provide an opportunity for supervised surfing with some tips and advice to help you improve with an aim to be a stepping stone for surfers who would like to take their surfing further, whether its just to improve their style and confidence in becoming a be

🌊 WAVERIDERS CANCELLED 🌊

Unfortunately, we’ve made the decision to cancel this Friday’s Waveriders session due to the lack of swell. As much as we’d love to get everyone in the water, it looks like the ocean just isn’t going to play ball this week!

A huge thank you to everyone who has joined us and supported Waveriders so far. We absolutely love seeing you all in the water, catching waves, having fun and enjoying surfing together. 🤙🌊

We’re now taking our summer break and will be back in late August, ready to go again — and hopefully with plenty of waves! 🙌

Have a brilliant summer, enjoy the ocean and we can’t wait to see you all again soon 💚🏄‍♂️🏄‍♀️

We are sorry to inform you that tomorrow nights training is going to have to be cancelled.
As you are all aware, the club is run by a dedicated group of volunteer lifeguards who all love sharing their passion of surfing with the groms.
Due to a contribution of factors including work, prior arrangements and end of term socials I only have a handful of lifeguards available to coach.
This means our ratios are completely unsafe and means we are uninsured if we were to run a session.
The safety of our members is always our top priority.
Please accept our sincere apologies on cancelling tomorrow’s session due to this position we find ourselves in.
The good news is that we hope to squeeze another session in next week before we go on hold over the summer holidays, due to significant increase in the number of water users and a reduction in coaches being available due to well earned holidays.

We are back tonight for another fun filled session.

Waves look fun for both groups with a pushing tide. Once again tonight could be a fun session for those looking to transition from beginners to intermediate.

We will be running our beginners session from 6-7pm and the intermediate session from 7-8pm. Beginners are meeting at the car park in Summerleaze from 5.30-5.45pm with wetsuits and foam boards for beginners and 6.30pm for intermediate group surfers with hard boards. If you don’t have your own equipment then these can be hired from Zuma Jay or The Cabin.
Don’t forget your £1 cost per session. All surfers must be members of the club.

If your child is unsure then they can come down to watch a session or have a trail by signing the waiver before becoming a member. Those who have already trialed will be expected to have joined BWRC via the link in the bio before checking in at the trailer for this session.
If you have not yet downloaded Spond then please do so and DM us on Facebook to receive our code to Join the BWRC Spond page. You can then confirm attendance to sessions and as Head Coach I can ensure our volunteer coach’s match our ratios.

Waves look fun for both groups with a dropping tide. We think tonight could be a fun session for those looking to transition from beginners to intermediate.

This weekend crowned Under 16 and 18 National champions down at Fistral Beach in Newquay.
It was incredible to see 3 Budewavriders members make the podium against the very best surfers across Engalnd.
was the standout surfer of the event dropping big scores consistently. He surfed hard and chucked buckets of spray but in the final the biggest waves eluded him.
was surfing up an age group but did not look out of place with smooth cutbacks and clean surfing throughout.
was shredding in her semi with a big score for a massive backhand snap. Sadly falling on a similar manoeuvre in the final she was unable to match her podium top spot from the Rip Curl Grom Search a few weeks ago.
also made the podium. Annie has joined our advanced development squad this season and showed some real consistency across the event to get herself in the final.

Waves look chunky with a dropping tide so we will be keeping the beginners tight to the shore and with the intermediates please be mindful that it might not be the best session for those looking to transition from beginners to intermediate tomorrow night.

Good morning,
With large swell and a tricky low tide conditions tomorrow evening we are going to take our training session into the sea pool for a boards skills and some basic rescue techniques.
The tide will not be high enough to run our intermediate session safely however with the beginners all ready to learn, we thought that if any Intermediate surfers want to assist in coaching the beginners then we would love to have them join in. We will only be running one session tomorrow for anyone interested from 6-7pm in the sea pool.
Please meet at the trailer with your foam boards for a 5.30pm registration. Don’t forget your £1. For those yet to join the club wanting to have a trial session, may I suggest waiting till our next surf session to take your trial
