Thursday Gardening Task Cancelled this week

We've decided to take a week off, as Rob and Judith are both busy with other things.

So there's no gardening task this Thursday but there is a date to put in your diary. Apple Day, when you can bring apples from your garden and get them pressed into delicious juice, is on Saturday 12th September (weather permitting). You've got a couple of weeks to think about picking your apples and to keep your fingers crossed for a fine, dry day.

Gardening Task on Thursday

This week we might not need to water, if the promised rain arrives. We'll be at Neetside and later on, at the Crescent Car Park, doing some weeding and tidying up.

f you have them, please bring gloves and weeding tools, but there will be spare gloves and tools available, if needed. You will probably still need to wear a hat and plenty of sunscreen and bring a cold drink.

According to the weather forecast, it may be raining on Thursday, so please check Facebook in the morning, in case we have to cancel at the last minute.

Gardening Task on Thursday

It's yet more watering at Neetside this week, I'm afraid but we'll keep the session as short as possible, to avoid the worst of the heat. We'll be there from 10.30 and will finish once the most urgent watering is done.

Please bring a watering can if you have one, but there will be spare ones available, if needed. Be sure to wear a hat and plenty of sunscreen and bring a cold drink.

It'll be more watering at Neetside this week, despite a bit of rain today. We'll be there from 10.30 and will move on later to the Crescent to do some more weeding.

Gardening Task on Thursday

This week, we'll be gardening at the Crescent Car Park and we'll be weeding and tidying up. The flowers in all the beds are looking lovely, so do come along and join us between 10.30 and 12.30.

If you have them, please bring secateurs, work gloves and weeding tools, but there will be spare gloves and tools available, if needed. Don't forget a drink and snack for break time.

All are welcome to come along and garden or just pop by for a chat. If you'd like to talk to someone in the group beforehand to find out more, then please send us a message and one of the group will be in touch.
