A huge thank you to Jason and Zara from Devon & Cornwall Exterior Cleaning! 🙌

They came along to clear out the gutters on the Hub and ended up giving the whole building a good wash too!

We’ve been having a few issues with water running onto the terrace (and onto our poor weever fish victims receiving treatment!) so these guys kindly gave their time and expertise to help us sort it out.

We’re so grateful for their help and for giving the Hub a bit of a spruce-up at the same time. 🤩

Join us for THE BIG FLOAT!! We want to get as many people as possible in the Pool doing the 'Float to Live' technique! You can come along to the practice sessions first to find out how then we'll all be getting in the water for The Big Float!

Join us Bank Holiday Monday (31st Aug) for a day of floating, water safety, and community fun.

Schedule for the day:
⏰ 11am - 12pm: Practice sessions
🎯 12pm: THE BIG FLOAT!
Drop in anytime, but make sure you're in the water for 12:00! Let's see how full we can get the pool! 🏊‍♂️💙

We’d like to give a big welcome to our new Pool Manager, Lucy! 🌊💙

Lucy joined us as Pool Crew last year and is already a familiar face down at the Pool so we are excited to see her take on this new role.

Having been brought up on the beaches of North Devon, I spent my 20s diving and swimming my way around the world before settling back on the Devon/Cornwall border in 2010, where I’ve been raising a family (and a few other animals!) ever since.

As a member of Bude Surf Life Saving Club and the RNLI Water Safety Team, you’ll regularly find me out in the bay, getting my daily dose of Vit Sea.”

Our wonderful Deb, who you’ll all know from her many years at the Pool, has stepped down from her role as Pool Manager. We are so incredibly lucky to have had six years of her dedication, passion and hard work in the role, and we’re going to miss her lots! 💙

However…! She’s not going far! Deb will still be on shift at the Pool as part of the Pool Crew and is taking on a new role as Shop Manager, which we’re absolutely thrilled about. 🤩

A huge thank you also to our former Shop Manager Carly and Supervisor Bev for all their hard work getting the shop up and running and making it what it is today. 💙

Here’s to Deb’s next chapter at Bude Sea Pool 🙌
