1st Bucklebury Guides & Rangers

Yesterday 1st Bucklebury Guides and Rangers spent the evening volunteering at Thirtover Place, Cold Ash. They helped clear plant pots, dig up weeds, plant lots of new plants and cut back a hedge which was growing into the path.

To finish the evening we were very kindly donated some cookies from Vanillo which were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone!

This summer Valley division Girlguiding are going to the Netherlands for 6 days! This is a fantastic opportunity which will allow the Guides to build independence, make new friends and experience new cultures. There are Guides, Rangers and Leaders going from Bucklebury, Cold Ash, Pangbourne, Compton and Thatcham!

As part of our fundraising we are hosting an Auction of Promises which includes some fantastic prizes such as:
- vouchers from lots of local businesses
- various food and drink hampers
- A signed England Rugby shirt
- Workshop vouchers

1st Bucklebury Guides celebrated their 50th Birthday this term! The Guides and Rangers spent the beginning of the term planning our birthday party by deciding the theme, decorations and making invites. They settled on a neon disco with pizza and cake which Compton and Pangbourne Guides also came along to!
