Working to restore the natural balance of Bruton's stretch of the river Brue as a haven for wildlife, and to promote our riverside as somewhere relaxing to spend time with nature. Our aim is to connect Bruton's historic town centre with footpaths upstream and downstream, learning under the guidance of Somerset Wildlife Trust and the Wild Trout Trust to enhance the river that gave Bruton its name,

They want to run events on how to restore and create new meadows, and help get involved in practical , including seed collection and planting

The vision is for the town to be ringed by -rich , bringing into people's everyday lives

This bare earth displays one of the reasons why is so successful, and also why it is so destructive to our

Brue CREW this morning removed six dumpy bags of from the beside L***y Brook, at the bottom of Park Road, central

This Himalayan Balsam had crowded out even (those stingy stalks laying on the ground) – and rains would wash soil into the , where it becomes damaging

All balsam removed is to destroy its seeds
