Scouts from our upcoming Switzerland Trip were out fundraising Broxburn Fire Station

£950 was raised which will help reduce the costs of the Scouts who helped out. It's an important part of the process, the Scout work to earn their trip and can help ensure that cost isn't a barrier to international adventures

Earlier this week, our incredible volunteer team supported our Cubs to learn about traditional navigation skills, helping them understand how to read maps, interpret the symbols and legend as well as experiment with them to navigate a route.

Last month our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, and some of our adult volunteers, joined groups from all across West Lothian for our annual district parade. We are looking for a young person (18-24) to become the next Scotland Youth Lead Volunteer.

This role is all about making sure young people’s voices are heard and taken seriously in Scouting. You will help shape decisions, share young people’s ideas, and make sure Scouting works with young people, not just for them.

If you’re passionate about empowering others and want to grow your own leadership skills, this is the role for you.

Last month, our Beaver Scouts, joined by a few Cub Scouts, spent some time at Midlothian Snowsports Centre learning the basics of skiing. Having fun, learning new skills, and challenging themselves was all part of the adventure! 🎿
