MULLIGAN'S OPEN RESULTS!

First off, a huge thanks to everyone who came along this weekend. I am completely blown away with the sheer amount of people who wanted to come along this year. 106 coaches ended up competing in the end with 12 countries represented! I hope every single one of you had an amazing time.

It has been great to hear that so many of you enjoyed yourself so much and I hope to see you all back next year for what I hope will be even bigger and better than this year!

Also a huge thanks to Glasgow University Union for hosting us and to all of you who helped me out in many different ways throughout the planning and delivering of Mulligan’s Open, as well as helping set out the tables and chairs on the day, it was a massive help and I couldn't have done it without you all. The Blood Bowl community truly is amazing.

Mulligan’s Open Info and Socials!

Good evening everyone,

We are almost there and there is only 3 days left to Mulligans! So I just wanted to share a little bit of info that may be of use to those who are joining us.

Parking

There is no free parking around the venue and the on street parking costs are pretty hefty. You are best parking at Lilybank or Kelvingrove Park and Ride and walking to the venue. Kelvingrove is the cheapest of the 2.

Entry time, Registration & Kick Off

Registration will officially begin at 9.30am on Saturday with the first round kicking off at 10.00am. However we do have the venue booked from 8.00am so if anybody fancies putting some tables out feel free to join me nice and early. The help would be much appreciated.

On the Sunday we will kick off at 9.30am. So please ensure you remember that and come in time for kick off.

Pitches

I have hired 4ft x 2.5ft trestle tables again this year so each game will have their own table. These tables will take GW sized pitches and your common neoprene pitch sizes so you can happily bring whatever you like.

All I ask is that when you put a pitch down, please leave it there for the duration of the day instead of picking it up from round to round. This will make life much easier for everyone.

For domestic coaches, please ensure you bring a pitch with you so that our guests coming from abroad don’t have to pack one for the trip. They have enough to worry about.

Bar

The venue has a bar. As such we ask that you do not bring in any drinks from outside the venue. If any are found venue staff will ask you to remove it and or potentially ask you to leave. The bar will open at 11.00am each day.

Socialising/Drinks

On the Friday we will look to have drinks at the Oran Mor main bar. This is located on Byres Road where you will also find lots of restaurants and other bars for dinner. I will be there from around 8.00pm so feel free to come along and find me for a pint.

Mulligan’s Open Roster Submission

Massive thank you to all of you who have gotten your rosters in and met yesterday’s deadline. We are now just waiting on 5 more rosters to get submitted. Those who haven’t got them in yet have been contacted and hopefully we receive these soon. If you are one of them please do this ASAP.

I will be checking your rosters this week. You will know when you have been signed off as you will have a nice big green tick next to your name on the participants screen on TourPlay. I will be in touch if your roster isn’t legal and we will get that sorted.

If all things go to plan I will release the rosters on Saturday along with a blog piece detailing the makeup of the Mulligans Open field along with some lovely charts and graphs.

We are now sitting at 124 coaches for the event after a couple of late drop outs. Making this the biggest Mulligan’s Open yet and the first Scottish event to surpass 100 coaches! Many many thanks to all of you again for signing up and making this possible. You are all what makes this event what it is!

Mulligan's Open Roster Submission

We are now only 2 days out from the roster submission deadline for Mulligan’s Open on Sunday 15th February. Please make sure you have submitted your roster to TourPlay by this date. You can find a link to the Mulligans TourPlay here:

To the 85 of you who have already submitted a roster thank you very much. For those of you (9) who have submitted more than one roster please select from these today. Please use other roster building software to test your rosters before submission. I will start deleting all but your most recent submissions as of tomorrow. We still have in excess of 40 coaches who have yet to submit their roster. Please ensure this is done this weekend and I am not chasing you on Monday.

To anybody who doesn’t have a ticket to Mulligan’s Open and doesn’t want to miss out… we actually have around 20 tickets left. If anybody is interested in it please sign up ASAP. The deadline for sign ups is Sunday 15th February at 11.59pm. No sign ups will be accepted after this time.

Mulligan’s Open Prize Showcase!

So today we are showing off all the prize categories and what you will walk away with if you win one of these at this years event! There are so many good prizes here you are going to want to go home with them!

Mulligan’s Open Gift Announcement!

Today we have a wee participation gift announcement for the tournament… everyone who attends Mulligan’s Open will receive the following gifts:

Mulligan’s Open Prize Announcement!

Another Saturday, another announcement amirite? Well today is a good one! As has been tradition for the past 3 years now we will be giving away a lovely painted team to the winner of Mulligan’s Open. Painted by our very own Ben Smith in his lovely comic book style! This year’s winner will take this lovely human team home with them and we will even throw in a tasty Charlie Victor archive case and foam to get them home safe in! This surely is a braw looking team and as always we are super thankful to Ben for providing this excellent prize.
