Teaching daughter Kim after she began playing on her own after leaving the board out all week. Played her just now and lost 0-1 ! I played without block flicks (of course) and she used goal kicks to bring everyone back into defence and scored from a corner kick.

Room for 1 or 2 more players this season. We meet at homes by mutual arrangement Only one home meeting per season is required. Any ex-Lichfield TFC players welcome, or former South Staffs members wanting to return to the game.

Our satellite club, the Robin Hood SC meets tonight at the The Crescent, Willenhall. Starts 8pm-10.30pm. Casual players welcome although they only have one board at the moment.

The first meeting of the season was held today in Willenhall with four players using two boards. Tony Machin travelled down from Burton and Steve Davis from Hednesford, with Maca Niles from nearby Walsall. The cobwebs took a few games to be blown off, but some superb goals were scored this afternoon. Results from the Staffordshire County League-

In the 56th Staffordshire Cup, 14 players from the Robin Hood club in Willenhall and 2 South Staffs players will play off until 4 are left, who will be joined by Davis, Machin, Mike Murphy (holder) and Sean Bradbury in the 3rd round.

Our satellite club, the Robin Hood SC in Willenhall is halfway through the league season with a dozen players. Malcom Niles still leads the pack although Scott Minifie is just a point behind with two games in hand, and last night beat Niles 1-0. Ian Hayward and Tony Aston are also in the hunt. Each month brings two or three new trialists, who are directed to the shoot-out board before deciding whether to become a regular. All the players are newbies which makes for a very evenly matched competition.

The South Staffs TFC season will re-commence with meeting on Monday afternoon 8th September at Mike's in Short Heath. All 6 players invited as 2 boards can be put out. 2pm-4pm.

Our satellite club for beginners at the Robin Hood pub in Willenhall is now almost halfway through its first season. Ten players eagerly look forward to each monthly meeting and despite using only one board, get through 6 matches every 2nd Tuesday of the month. Malcolm Niles heads the table on 18 points from 9 games, closely followed by Tony Aston and Ian Hayward.
