🌸 Our next meeting is Wednesday 20th May 2026 at 2pm 🌸

We’re delighted to welcome Patti Dawson all the way from Penrith.

Patti wowed us on her last visit and is an incredibly talented floral designer, so we know we’re in for a wonderful afternoon of flowers, inspiration and creativity.

💐 Club Competition
Do have a go! The competition title is a lovely accessible one for everyone — using garden plant material only and NO floral foam.

🍾 Bottle Tombola Appeal
We still need bottle donations for our special Anniversary Demonstration in June. We’ve had some brilliant fun/jokey bottles (tomato ketchup included! 😄), but we’re still short of about 100 bottles everyone would love to win!!!

If you can all donate a couple of decent bottles, we’d be very grateful.

🌱 Bring & Buy Sale
Please bring along any plants, seedlings, seeds or garden-related items. Every penny raised helps support our club and helps us continue bringing wonderful demonstrators and their beautiful flowers to the club.

Tomorrow at Preston Flower Club… we’re rolling out the (imaginary) red carpet 🌿

We’re welcoming the brilliant Mark Entwistle — a man who’s been charming, entertaining and inspiring flower clubs all over the UK for years.

Expect beautiful designs, plenty of laughs, and that effortless way Mark has of making it all look far easier than it actually is!

With his retirement later this year, this really is one of those “see him while you still can” moments — and we feel very lucky to have him with us.

So if you’re thinking about coming… take this as your sign!

Flowers, laughter and a very special guest — what more could you want? 🌸

NB PLEASE remember to bring your bottle donations - we're collecting bottles of any description as long as they are dated later than September 2026. We will have an amazing bottle tombola at our 65th Anniversary meeting on June 17th.

The Area's "Bloomin’ Good Day Out" is filling fast!

They have already sold 107 tickets for their special 65th anniversary celebration — and with numbers capped at just 150, it's heading towards a sell-out! So far only two Preston members have booked their tickets.

If you’re thinking of going along for a day of fun, friendship and flowers, don’t leave it too late!

Preston's very own Sara Barrow takes to the stage next week with her new title "Gardens of Delight". Sara is not only our programme secretary and vice chair but she is also chair of Flowers North West and a National Demonstrator.
Please support our bring and buy stall - it raises much needed funds to keep the club going. this month the theme is Pamper & Indulge so bring along any unwanted, unopened pamper treats, hand creams, toiletries etc.
There is a competition this month, open to anyone to take part. The title is "Blossoms and Buds - A Spring Awakening" - to include fresh spring-flowering plant and garden materials.
Visitors are very welcome - £8.

Our first demonstration of the year is next week when we welcome back the lovely Ann Morgan from Morecambe. Visitors always very very welcome - pay £8 on the door.
We are trying to revamp the bring and buy table - it brings in much needed funds to enable us to book some wonderful demonstrators. Maureen Skapars is taking over the role of running the stall and this month she is asking for any unwanted gifts, things for the home, candles and household treats.

Our next meeting is this Wednesday 21st January.
Slightly different from normal meetings.
We start at 1.45 with a very short AGM.
This is followed by our annual speaker.
This year we have Raymond Smith who
Is giving a talk entitled “From Muck and Music to Stones and Roses”.
I’m told he’s highly entertaining and will also have a slide show.
This is followed by a Jacob’s join afternoon tea. So don’t forget to bring something yummy! Anything is welcome.
There will be a raffle as usual but for gifts donated by committee members.
The bring and buy stall is unwanted gifts. So if you’ve been given something for Christmas you don’t particularly like or have a use for please bring it along.

🎄✨ A Little Bit of Glitz and Glamour! ✨🎄

We’re so excited to welcome the fabulous David Ryland to Preston Flower Club for our Christmas demonstration on Wednesday 19th November at 2pm!

David is a much-loved National NAFAS Demonstrator, admired not only for his creativity, flair and infectious enthusiasm, but also for his incredible knowledge of garden plants and flowers. His stunning designs are always full of colour, sparkle and imagination — the perfect inspiration to kickstart your festive season!

There’ll also be a Christmas Bring & Buy stall, raffle, refreshments, and of course our competition, entitled “Christmas Glitz and Glamour.” So get your thinking caps on and create a fabulous floral design for David to judge — we can’t wait to see your entries!

🌟 Don’t forget to bring along your charity food bank donations (please make sure all items are in date).

Our next demonstration will be by talented florist and flower arranger Derek Morgan from Morecambe. His title will be "Fierce Creatures" - another afternoon not to be missed. Visitors very welcome - £8 on the door. Includes tea or coffee and biscuits at the end of the show. Buy raffle tickets and you could be lucky enough to take home one of Derek's amazing arrangements. A very relaxing afternoon at a very friendly flower club.
