Evenstar aims make a difference, one life at a time, people and animals alike. We focus on the vulnerable ones ( such as children and women ), those who live only to survive ( such as the migrant workers and refugees ) and those without a voice ( such as the animals and infants ). We go where there is no mass media support, where the international charities deem too marginal to have any direct impact, where human beings and animals with real sufferings are not heard. Even though what we achieve might just be a drop in the ocean, but to those that we help, this drop is the ocean. We believe strongly that if every single one of us makes a little effort to make a little difference, together we will make this a better world.

Snowy & Evee are adopted!

After 2 years in our care, we are so incredibly happy to share that this beautiful bonded pair has finally found their forever home in Scotland. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 💛

Snowy and Evee came to us together, and despite waiting patiently, they never received an adoption application as a pair. But some bonds are simply too special to break and these two have always been each other’s safe place, and we knew they deserved to stay together. 🐱🐱 Their happily ever after was worth the wait!

We have been fortunate to see several of our cats find loving homes abroad recently. 🌍❤️ For many of the cats in our care, international adoption offers the greatest opportunity to find the forever home they deserve. We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Yolanda Lacey and everyone who donated to her birthday fundraiser in support of Evenstar Charitable Association.🐾

Together, you raised an incredible £498.88, and we are so grateful for your kindness and generosity.

Your support will help us continue our rescue work, giving us the flexibility to provide whatever is needed most, whether that's veterinary care, supplies, or helping rescues on their journey to loving homes. Every donation makes a genuine difference and goes directly to the rescues in our care helping to ensure we can continue to be there for those who have nowhere else to turn.

It means so much that Yolanda chose to celebrate her birthday by continuing to support our work 🫶 and we are incredibly thankful to everyone who donated, shared the fundraiser, or helped spread the word.

MICROCHIPPED? That’s only half the job.

Many pet owners in Qatar don’t realize that having their pet microchipped doesn’t automatically mean their pet is registered on a searchable database.

If your pet goes missing and is scanned, the microchip number is only useful if the animal is scanned at the same vet or if registration details are linked to you.

What you should do:
✔️ Make sure your pet’s microchip is registered
✔️ Keep your contact details up to date
✔️ Check that the microchip number matches your records

Every year, countless pets like Rémy around the world are abandoned when circumstances change. Here, this becomes especially visible during the summer months, when many residents travel or relocate.

At Qatar Tails, we receive messages every day from people who no longer want to keep their pets. While we wish we could help every animal, rescue capacity is limited and foster homes are full. If you’ve ever considered fostering, now is one of the most meaningful times to do so. By opening your home, even temporarily, you can give an animal the safety and stability they deserve while they wait for a permanent family.

A pet is a lifelong commitment that should include planning for holidays, unexpected changes, and relocation to another country. Before getting a pet, it’s important to consider whether you will be able and willing to care for them for their entire life.

Our pets depend on us completely for their safety, wellbeing, and future.

On this World Day Against the Abandonment of Domestic Animals, we encourage everyone to think ahead, make responsible choices, and remember that our pets are family members, not temporary companions.

Gucci was rescued after being abandoned by the family he trusted most. At just 9 months old, he could have become fearful of people, but instead, he has remained incredibly loving, gentle, and trusting. 🐾

This sweet boy adores cuddles, loves sleeping close to his humans, and is always ready for a play session with his favourite toys. He’s also quite the little conversationalist and will happily chat away to keep you company. 🥰

Gucci has lived alongside other cats and a small dog. With slow introductions and a little patience, he settles in beautifully or would do well on his own too.

Now safe in foster care, Gucci is searching for the forever home he truly deserves, a family who will love him as much as he loves them.

Robbie & Daisy are adopted! 🐾

This inseparable pair are loving their new life together!
Robbie was found as a young kitten with multiple injuries after a suspected dog attack. Daisy was discovered as a tiny kitten completely alone. Despite searching and waiting for her mum or siblings, it became clear she had no one.

Although their journeys began very differently, they quickly became best friends in foster care. 🥰 Their bond was undeniable, and we knew they deserved a home together. We’re so happy their story has the perfect ending! They’ve been adopted by the most wonderful couple and even gained an older brother!

Thinking about adopting kittens? A pair can be a great choice. They keep each other company, burn off energy together, and help each other learn important social skills.

Ollie is adopted! 😺

These days, Ollie is living his best life: pampered, adored, and never shy about letting his family know when it’s treat time! His favourite trick? Leading his adopters straight to his food corner whenever he thinks a snack is due. 😋

When Ollie came into our care, we were sure someone would come looking for such a sweet, friendly boy. Sadly, no owner ever came forward, and it became clear that Ollie had been left behind. Thankfully, that’s all in the past. Today, he’s exactly where he belongs and in a loving home. 🩵
