Wow Bromyard ! What a wonderful community we live in πŸ™ŒπŸ»
After the disappointment of our new notice board getting vandalised last week and Dave, a volunteer at Age UK Sheds Together vocalising his disappointment, we've received not just one donation, but two donations. With special thanks going to Shannon and the other members of Bromyard Lions 🦁 for their contribution, it's very much appreciated πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

We have some important news to share πŸ“’

We are proud to announce that Bromyard Recreation Ground is now registered with the Fundraising Regulator.

This means we have committed to the highest standards of fundraising practice, as set out in the Code of Fundraising Practice. We promise to fundraise in a way that is legal, open, honest and respectful.

You can now find us on the official Directory and look for the Fundraising Badge on our materials - your assurance that your generosity is in safe hands.

Thank you to everyone who supports us and makes our work possible.

We've committed to excellent fundraising!

Restoring your faith in humanity πŸ™ŒπŸ»

You may have read earlier this week that our brand new notice board got vandalised in less than 24 hours, after being installed which had been made by Age UK Sheds Together.

Well, Nick at Herefordshire Storage kindly donated £200 towards the repairs or whatever we wish to spend it on. We're very grateful for this and definitely restores your faith in humanity 🫢🏻
Thank you Nick 😊

Following on from my earlier post, unfortunately we were informed this morning that our new notice board had been damaged already 😒
One of committee members went over last night around 8pm and it was still in one piece.
She was then contacted by a member of public this morning to say it had been damaged. On arrival at the park she found that the doors had been removed from the notice board, with this she then searched the vicinity to no avail. Please if you find any doors with perspex in let us know. We've now made the difficult decision to remove the notice board and we won't be replacing it. We're particularly embarrassed and upset on behalf of the lovely people at Age UK Sheds Together, who spent a long time making this for us. We're also out of pocket ☹️ But we won't let the minority win. We volunteer to keep the park looking nice for everyone else and WE WON'T GIVE UP !!

πŸŽ‰ The good news is that our notice board is back πŸ™ŒπŸ» with special thanks going to the volunteers at Age UK Sheds Together πŸ‘πŸ» based at Westington Works, Docklow.
Our notice board was vandalised earlier this year but Dave and his team at Sheds Together kindly volunteered to repair or replace it and yesterday they came along and installed the new notice board that they had made for us. The notice board is used to inform people of any up and coming fundraising events.

The bad news is that unfortunately the blue spinning spring, piece of equipment has broken 😒 we feel that it has just come to the end of its life, having been part of the park for many, many years. We're just thinking of what we can do next but it'll probably need to be replaced with a new piece of equipment, once we have the funding. This has now been removed from the base. Please do not try to move it πŸ™πŸ»
