Primrose Hospice & Family Support Centre is a registered charity offering advice and support to people with life-limiting illnesses and families.

Primrose Hospice & Family Support Centre is a registered charity providing:

- Day Hospice, providing social support and respite to carers, whilst allowing patients to access outpatient palliative care services, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and other services.

- Family Support Services, providing counselling, support and complimentary therapies provided from our Coppice Centre.

- Wellbeing and support groups, we run a variety of groups for people who are bereaved to ensure that individual needs are met. These may focus on support for families and friends around the death of a spouse, long term partner, child or significant person in their lives.

Our September Gals’ Group was ran by Alison from Lili Floral Art who guided the group through making Autumn decorations for their home! 🎃

Our Gals group is a friendly and relaxed, non-clinical group for women living with a life-limiting illness. 💛

Every year Lights of Love donations help us to continue our vital support, caring for people like Carol & Ed Bird. 🌟

Carol & the family have been remembering Ed for ten years. Carol said ‘I'll never forget him, he was my rock, he was always there for me. He didn’t want to talk to me about the end, but he would talk to the nurses at Primrose’. Their children Jackie & Jon convinced their Dad to come to Primrose when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2014.

Ed’s daughter Jackie remembers her Dad ‘being a true gentleman, he never complained. We can't get him a present or send him a card anymore, so we dedicate a light to him.’💛

Some of our patients recently took a trip to Alvechurch Fisheries where everyone had a chance at trying out their fishing skills!

This week we are celebrating Community Transport Week 🚗

All of our volunteers are vital to helping us deliver our vital services, including our volunteer drivers. 💛

Our volunteer drivers ensure patients and clients can attend sessions at Primrose Hospice, meaning they can access vital clinical and family support.

Last year, our volunteers drivers drove around 32,500 miles, that’s the same distance as driving to AUSTRALIA and back! 🌍
