TUESDAY 20TH OCTOBER - MAIN SESSION - A very different interactive session, led by our Member AL HADEN. The room was laid out with tables of 5 chairs per table. Prints, donated for critiquing we placed on each table which enabled the 40+ Members to discuss and critique an image, at which point, one Member on each table, then repeated that critique to all off the Members, with the print displayed on a viewing stand at the front of the room. There was then an opportunity for Members to have input.
After the refreshments break, PDI’s were projected and Members had the opportunity to join in the critiquing of those too.
All told, it was a highly useful and enjoyable session, thanks to Al Haden’s hard work and knowledge. Feedback from Members has been highly positive and many have suggested that Al runs another night along the same lines. This is an excellent idea, as this kind of presentation is especially useful for new Members and those less familiar, with preparing images for print or PDI competitions, PLUS it’s a great refresher for those more experienced photographers amongst us. It was also a great opportunity for the more experienced, to share their knowledge. A win-win all round!!
