🎄✨ Catshill Village Hall Elderly Christmas Party – What a Day! 🎅
We’ve just wrapped up our annual Christmas Party for the elderly, and it was full of festive cheer! A huge thank you to BUSAR Charity for providing the delicious food and mulled wine (because Christmas isn’t complete without a little warmth in your cup!).
Big thanks to Co-op for their wonderful donation of biscuit boxes—handed out by Santa and Mrs Claus to every guest. 🍪
The amazing Chadsgrove School choir sang their hearts out, and the Classic Singer Trio had everyone joining in for a proper Christmas singalong. Thank you to Catshill Middle school for delivering Christmas cards.
That’s a wrap for the Village Hall Trustees for 2025—keep an eye out for next year’s events!

🎆 Catshill Fireworks Extravaganza – We Hear You, and We’re Bringing the BOOM! 🎆

Get ready, Catshill – it’s almost time to light up the sky! ✨
🕔 Gates open at 5PM, and the fun kicks off right from the start — no waiting around here!
🎤 Non-stop entertainment, fireworks around 7:45PM (weather permitting… so no rain dances, please 😅).

🚗 Parking: Follow the signs around the village — DO NOT park on nearby roads (our lovely residents thank you in advance!). There’s no permit parking this year, so plan ahead.

🎡 Expect Ultraviolet sweets, face painting, maybe some mini fairground rides, and novelty lighting that’ll make your selfies look ✨extra✨.

They say first impressions count… and since the foyer is the very first thing anyone sees, we thought it deserved a little love. So, it’s had a facelift! Don’t worry, nothing too extreme – think more “Hollywood A-lister with a good surgeon” rather than “oops, who’s that on the red carpet?” 😉

We’ve gone for a cosy, welcoming vibe that makes you want to kick your shoes off and stay a while. The only thing missing now is the finishing touch – a beautiful arrangement from our very talented friends at Rustic & Wild Florist (hint, hint 🌿💐).

Because let’s be honest, even the best facelift looks better with a great outfit!

Somewhere after 130 hours (we lost track somewhere between the paint fumes and the late-night coffee runs 😅), we wondered if this glow-up was even possible… but look at her now! 🚐✨

Our CVH has gone from:
👉 Before: “a tired old girl who’s seen some things” 🙈
👉 After: “excuse me while I strut down the runway” 💃🔥

She’s still got a few touch-ups and accessories to come (a lady’s never truly finished, right? 😉), but the transformation is real.

From “don’t look too close” ➡️ to “can’t take your eyes off her.”
From character-building charm ➡️ to head-turning class.

Proof that even the old girls just need a little extra TLC (…and apparently 130+ hours of it 😂).

✨ Day 5 of the Catshill Village Hall glow-up! ✨
She’s really starting to strut her stuff now – more painting ticked off today, and even some shiny new signage popping up. Still a fair bit left on the to-do list, but wow… our volunteers have absolutely smashed it this week. 💪

They’ve grafted like legends to give the community a hall to be proud of, so tomorrow we’re giving them a well-deserved day off (tools down, tea up! ☕).
