Did You Know?

One of the enduring attractions of Rose Croix is that its symbolism reveals itself gradually.

A lesson that seemed simple at first can take on a deeper meaning years later. A symbol overlooked in one ceremony may suddenly become significant in another.

Each ceremony, each reflection and each conversation adds another piece to the picture.

The journey of understanding is never truly complete.

What symbol, lesson or moment has stayed with you the longest?

Another wonderful visit to Blazing Star Chapter No. 759 this evening at Wrotham.

The Brethren enjoyed a full programme of work comprising a Perfection Ceremony, followed by the Declaration and Enthronement of Most Wise Sovereign Mark James for a second year in office.

The decision of the Chapter to invite Mark to continue in office for a further year speaks volumes for the esteem in which he is held by the Brethren.

Huge congratulations to Manuel Ortiz, who becomes the District of West Kent's newest Prince ๐Ÿ‘‘.

It was a pleasure to be involved in the ceremony and to perform the Accolade, with the Money Chapter ring once again at hand to seal another Prince.

I was also honoured to present the Inspector General's Award to Ill Bro Luke Jackson 31ยฐ in recognition of his Outstanding Ritual. Luke becomes only the 19th recipient of the award since its inception and, even more impressively, only the 6th recipient in the history of the award to receive it specifically for Outstanding Ritual. He is also only the 8th recipient this season. These statistics demonstrate just how rare and prestigious the award is; indeed, it has become known in some circles as the "5% Club", with only around 5% of the District's membership having received this distinction.

With three candidates already in the pipeline, the future looks extremely bright for Blazing Star Chapter. For a Chapter that meets only twice each year, and one of the few Chapters in the District to meet on a Saturday, its enthusiasm, commitment and momentum are a real credit to all concerned.

Congratulations to Mark, Luke, Manuel and all the Brethren of Blazing Star Chapter on a thoroughly enjoyable and successful evening ๐Ÿ™

Well done to all the Brethren involved ๐Ÿ‘ more photos in the members area

๐Ÿค Shared Experience ๐Ÿค

Every member's journey through Rose Croix is unique.

For some, it was the ceremony itself.

For others, it was the symbolism, the friendships, the conversations, or the feeling of belonging to something timeless and meaningful.

Years later, many of us can still remember that one moment, thought, or experience that stayed with us long after our first meeting.

So we'd love to hear from you...

A wonderful evening last night visiting Money Chapter, where the Brethren enjoyed a full programme of work comprising both a Perfection Ceremony and an Enthronement Ceremony.

My congratulations to the Most Wise Sovereign and all the Officers of the Chapter for delivering such an excellent ceremony.

Particular congratulations are due to:

E. & P. Bro Stephen Littler 18ยฐ โ€“ Intermediate Degrees
Ill Bro Paul Abbott 31ยฐ โ€“ First Point
Ill Bro Adrian Wagstaff 32ยฐ โ€“ Second Point
Ill Bro Adrian Wagstaff 32ยฐ โ€“ Collar and Signs

I was fortunate enough to be invited to conduct the Accolade, and it was especially pleasing that the historic Money Chapter ring, used to seal the candidate, was once again on home soil and playing its part in the ceremony.

The evening then continued with the Enthronement of a new Most Wise Sovereign, as E. & P. Bro Stephen Littler 18ยฐ installed his successor, Ill Bro James Ashmore 30ยฐ, in a splendid manner.

James then demonstrated the Third Point, giving every indication that the Chapter has a very exciting year ahead under his leadership.

A warm welcome was also extended to E. & P. Bro Howard Dold, who rejoins the Chapter, and congratulations to V. Ill Bro Graham Higgs 33ยฐ, who was elected an Honorary Member of the Chapter.

With three candidates already awaiting Perfection next season, beginning in September, it promises to be a very busy and successful year for James and his Officers.

Another wonderful evening spent in the company of friends. ๐Ÿ™

๐Ÿšช The Value of Visiting ๐Ÿšช

Every Chapter has its own atmosphere, traditions and character.

One of the great pleasures of the Rite is the opportunity to visit, meet new Brethren, experience different styles of working, and strengthen the friendships that unite us across the District.

A familiar ceremony viewed through a different lens can often provide fresh insights and a renewed appreciation of our Order.

The Chapter Guide will shortly be available, making it easier than ever to discover the fourteen Chapters that make up West Kent.

Where will your next visit take you?

Very much looking forward to a visit to the Grand East at Duke Street today ๐Ÿฆ…, where another member of the District of West Kent will receive well-deserved preferment within the Ancient & Accepted Rite.

E. & P. Bro. Benjamin Briggs (18ยฐ), of Eos Chapter No. 1005, will today be promoted to the 30ยฐ.

Benjamin has been a committed supporter of both his Chapter and the District, and I know many Brethren will be delighted to see him receive this recognition.

Please join me in congratulating Benjamin on his promotion and in wishing him a thoroughly enjoyable day. The ceremony is one of the most impressive and memorable within the Rite, and I have no doubt it will be an occasion he will cherish for many years to come.

Congratulations, Benjamin! ๐ŸŒนโœ

โ˜€๏ธ Looking Ahead to Summer โ˜€๏ธ

As the days grow longer and the path ahead becomes clearer, summer offers an opportunity to reflect on how far we have travelled and to look forward to the journey still to come.

Across West Kent, the months ahead promise friendship, learning, meaningful ceremonies, and the continued enjoyment of our wonderful Rite.
