Results day can bring a whole mix of emotions — excitement, relief, pride, disappointment, uncertainty, or maybe a little bit of everything.
If your results aren’t what you hoped for, it’s okay to take some time to process how you’re feeling. One set of exam results doesn’t define your abilities, your potential, or what you can achieve in the future. 💛
There’s more than one route to where you want to go, and sometimes a change of plan can lead you somewhere you never expected.
Swipe through for some reminders about resilience, changing direction and finding your Plan B. 🌱
And whatever today looks like for you — remember to be kind to yourself.

🎓 This time of year can bring lots of big milestones — results days, graduations, celebrations and decisions about what comes next.

But achievement doesn’t always have to be a big moment.

Sometimes a small win can be getting out of bed, trying something new, being kind to yourself, asking for help or simply getting through a difficult day. 💛

Whatever your day looks like, what’s one thing you’re proud of yourself for today?

🎉 MHST Team Day!

As schools closed for the end of the academic year, our Mental Health Support Team came together for a day of learning, connection and reflection. 💚

👀 We started with a focus on neuro-affirming support, exploring how we can best understand and respond to the additional needs we’re increasingly seeing within referrals.

🧺 After sharing a picnic in the park, the team took part in a relaxing yoga session, kindly delivered by Lorraine Brown from Upbeat Therapies in Hayes. 🧘‍♀️ We finished the day with an appreciation exercise, celebrating the team and the work we do together.

As MHST Lead and Strategic Lead for SEND, Janine Thomas, reflected: “It’s important... to pause, reflect and restore” — looking after ourselves so that we can continue to be a resource for others.

As we prepare for the next academic year, we’re also getting ready for the continued expansion of MHST across Bromley, bringing support to more schools, SEND settings and further education colleges. 🌱

Here’s to a well-earned pause before another busy year! 💚

Good luck to everyone receiving their results today! 🎓✨
Whatever your results look like, remember: they don’t define you or your future. There are lots of different paths to where you want to go, and it’s okay if your next step looks different from what you expected. 💛
Take a moment to be proud of yourself for getting here — you’ve done your best, and that is enough. 🌟

We are excited to be working in partnership with Rhino Boulder Bromley to offer young people opportunities to support their emotional wellbeing and mental health through climbing. 🎉

Through the Climb and Connect programme, young people age 16+ referred by Bromley Y can access funded climbing sessions at Rhino Boulder, giving them the chance to get active, build confidence, learn new skills and connect with others.

Climbing can be a great way to support wellbeing, particularly for young people experiencing anxiety or low mood:

🙂 Stay present - focusing on the route and your next move can help bring your attention into the here and now.

👀 Ground & focus - concentrating on the climb can provide a positive break from worries and racing thoughts.

💪 Get activated - physical activity can help with motivation, energy and mood, supporting young people to take positive action.

👊 Build confidence - learning new techniques, overcoming challenges and seeing your skills improve can create a real sense of achievement.

⁉️ Learn & problem-solve - climbing encourages perseverance, concentration and learning from each attempt.

👥 Connect with others - young people can enjoy climbing independently or use the space to build social connections and feel part of a community.

If you’re a young person accessing Bromley Y’s services and think this could be right for you, speak to your Bromley Y practitioner or email [email protected] for more information.
