The Army Cadet Force is a military themed Youth Organisation. Founded in 1860, the ACF has been on the go for over 150 years with Detachments located throughout the whole of the United Kingdom. Arran Detachment ACF is a member unit of Balaklava Company, West Lowland Battalion ACF. We take on Cadets who are in Secondary School and aged 12-18 years old. The Detachment is located on Auchrannie Road i

n Brodick and parades on Saturdays between the hours of 11am and 1pm. The ACF offers life skills and qualifications such as self discipline, Duke of Edinburgh, First aid at work and many more exciting challenges. Based upon a military theme we are sponsored by the British Army. Some activities are similar to the Army however we must not be mistaken as the Army, We wear the uniform and do similar training all the same. Not only that, there is the opportunity to meet new friends throughout the West Of Scotland and to try out adventurous training such as navigation, archery, mountain biking and many more activities. We are not only on the recruiting trail for cadets, we are also on the lookout for Adult Volunteers, whether you are Ex Forces, Ex Cadet or have no Military/Cadet background at all. So why not pop along and see for yourself what lies in store as a member of the Army Cadet Force?
