Good morning!
It’s 10/10, and it’s World Mental Health Day.

Help us make this day count: In your country, but also globally. Give this message a push, so the agenda will be top of mind when they wake up in other parts of the world.

I wonder how many people with injuries actually keep up with their physio exercises? The secret to introducing a new behaviour into your routine is to link it with something else you do automatically. e.g. making a cuppa.

Why are supermarkets so large when the quantity of foods that are actually good for our body fit into a little corner shop?

Every time I teach Pilates I cant help thinking with all my many aches and body challenges what can I possibly offer other people? But then I realise that the combination of my training and experience of living with pain is mighty powerful. My body may not be all that, but it is all that I have and I make the best of what I have. Likewise I want my clients to make the best of their bodies for today, tomorrow and the long term.

I used to run empowerment workshops for teenagers with arthritis. I remember a child lamenting on wanting joints that can be removed at a drop of a hat and be replaced with another that is more efficient like the toy Mr Potato Head! Sadly life doesn't work like this so it makes sense for us to look after the joints we do have regardless of what shape they are in. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Disney-Playskool-Mr-Potato-Head/dp/B0002VZ1QK
