Rehearsals are coming along for The Scarlet Pimpernel.

Tonight was a fantastic evening of workshopping scenes, the dance choreography for the Princess of Wales’ ball, created by Sophia, and the final fight between Chauvelin & Sir Percy during the mob storming the prison.

Our cast worked their socks off, and this is going to look absolutely incredible.

Meantime the costume team are putting things together for the cast, and the costume designs are absolutely stunning.

Launching our next show, The Scarlet Pimpernel:
Our 20th anniversary show, and our London debut.
Open auditions this weekend and we can't wait to welcome back returning cast and crew, and new faces as well! (see the link in comments if you want to get involved!)

The Scarlet Pimpernel is a lively, dramatic tale of disguise, adventure, and conspiracy set between London and Paris, during the height of the French Revolution in 1792. It is a lavish costume drama, suitable for all ages, and is a show in our tradition of bringing to life classical literature and researched history.

As you can see from the photo, work has already begun on the props - and any costume peices/ accessories that dont need to wait for actors measurements.

With national and international awards won, a wonderful catalogue of past shows, and exciting work coming up. 20 years ago this winter, the theatre company was founded on the proceeds of a stall at a car-boot sale, to create inclusive and exciting opportunities for Southwest based actors and theatre creatives at any stage in their careers, to develop and expand their careers and portfolios - and participate in high quality touring theatre.

Tickets for all shows are on sale with links our website now (link in the comments!) ,
opening as always at Brixham Theatre on June 13th,
then appearing at
Cygnet Theatre Exeter - June 19th
Budleigh Salterton Public Hall - June 27th
village hall - July 4th
village hall - July 11th
Torquay Royal Lyceum Theatre - July 18th
Buckfastleigh Town Hall and Institute - July 25th

We will be welcoming back a super stage crew including Bethany Ward Carol Ann Robinson and Margot leading on costumes, with Sophie Kira Ross and Claire Douglas on lighting, Sally on sound, Rich Sandford and Robin Buckfield on action choreography, Evelyn on makeup, and Stephanie on props, to name just a few.

With enormous thanks (and without whom this would not be possible) to our venues, plus The Naked Sheep Hayle Brixham Town Council Crafty Cwtch Brixham Theatre Castaway Cafe Bar, Brixham Chestnut Community Centre, The Brixham Pirate Festival Brixham Library Helen Ambler, Community Builder for Brixham and lots of other places, friends, partners and supporters
