Brixham Junior Sailing Club

Well what a week for BYC Sailors, this time it was Jack and Harry Macleod,Leo Kaneko, Tom Smith and Leo Philips taking on the 5.3 sailors with consistent results across the board.
We can’t forget about young Will Smith who took on the 4.2 sailors all by himself and did so in spectacular fashion, with a very well earned 9th place.
With the week having changing and challenging conditions for all sailors, these boys all did exceptionally well!
The BJSC team are so proud of their achievements and they should all be exceptionally proud of themselves.

This weekend five of the Juniors
Harry Macleod
Jack Macleod
Tom Smith
Will Smith
Leo Kaneko
All travelled up to WPSNA for the South & South West Junior Champs, which with only one race sailed it was a all or nothing fight for the Gold medal which one of Juniors has came home with and the other sailors all taking up slots in the top 20 which is an amazing achievement and has really cemented Brixham Yacht Club on the sailing map. So BJSC and BYC now have the 2026 Regional Junior Champion sailing from our club.

Brixham Yacht Club

I was one of more than 20 Topper sailors who took part in the south-west Topper traveller event at Brixham YC. I was excited to sail at Brixham as I had already done an event here before, and the club was really friendly and had a great atmosphere.
