MEET THE TEAM BEHIND
ACTION GREATER BEDMINSTER
Residents, businesses and community groups are invited to meet us at a community drop-in event on THURSDAY 11 JUNE, between 6pm and 8pm, downstairs at The Steam Crane on North Street.
Action Greater Bedminster, (AGB), the local neighbourhood partnership for BS3, has recently become a Community Interest Company (CIC) — a move that will help strengthen the organisation’s long-term future and ensure it continues to work in the best interests of the local community. Becoming a CIC provides a clear structure for governance, transparency and accountability, while supporting AGB’s ability to develop projects, partnerships and funding opportunities that benefit Greater Bedminster residents.
To further strengthen its governance and community representation, AGB is delighted to have appointed a group of “Critical Friends” to support key community sectors. These include Ade Williams (Health and Wellbeing), Sarah Ibbertson (Children and Young People), Luke Jerram (Arts and Culture), George Ferguson (Buildings), and Jacqui Kean (Community).
Critical Friends will play an important role within AGB by offering independent, constructive challenge and support to help strengthen decision-making, governance and community impact.
The drop in event will give local people an opportunity to learn more about the organisation, share ideas and discuss the issues that matter most to the Greater Bedminster community.
The evening will also see the launch of AGB’s new website, alongside plans for regular monthly drop-in sessions where residents can continue to share ideas, raise concerns and help shape the future of the community.
No need to book - everyone is welcome to attend and find out more about how they can get involved.
