🌍 International Day of the Girl 💙

Today is about celebrating girls — their voices, their ideas, their potential and the incredible things they can achieve when they’re given the opportunity to try.

At Girlguiding, we get to see that every week.

Girls learning to lead.
Girls trying something they never thought they could do.
Girls getting muddy, making friends, asking questions, speaking up and occasionally making a spectacular amount of noise. 😂

Because confidence doesn’t just appear overnight.

It grows when you’re trusted to have a go.
It grows when someone believes in you.
It grows when you discover that you’re capable of far more than you thought.

Every girl deserves somewhere she can be herself, try new things, find her people and discover what she’s capable of.

That’s what Guiding is all about. 💙

Happy International Day of the Girl!

Tuesday guides completed their first aid skills builder tonight, learning all the ways they can help someone in need - whether the casualty is bleeding, burnt, choking, unconscious or not breathing. Whilst we hope they never have to use these skills, the leaders are proud that they have the knowledge to help save lives!
