YACWAG is proud and pleased to announce the purchase of an additional two fields on Congresbury Moor. This extension, including the three riverside fields bought in February, is a £300,000 investment and will bring our landholding on Biddle Street SSSI to over 60 acres! The Congresbury Moor nature reserve will now be ten fields managed sensitively as a space reserved for nature. It will develop into good quality habitat for barn owls, bats and butterflies.

The community will still be able to walk along the river bank and we are hoping to set aside some of the land for a nature trail and circular walk. We look forward to showing you around!

YACWAG has a new website and you will be able to see it tomorrow! Fully accessible, now no one need be left behind - everyone can be involved. Take a look and tell us whether you like it!

YACWAG is now on the lookout for more people to get involved with running the charity. We have a strong team of about 50 volunteers carrying out vital tasks on our nature reserves as well as behind the scenes admin. We need to strengthen our board of trustees too now to help make the decisions that will take YACWAG forward to even greater success. We are looking for people with a passion for nature, with a pressing need in particular for a Secretary. If you can help please email [email protected].
