Centre for Community-Driven Research United Kingdom

Centre for Community-Driven Research United Kingdom The Centre for Community-Driven Research is a non-profit organisation bringing much needed change to the way we think about community engagement in health.

Our vision is to create a more patient-driven health sector. CCDR are an global health charity that works with the community, researchers, health professionals, industry and policy makers so that we can accelerate research and all make better decisions about our health. Out HQ is in Geneva, Switzerland and we have regional offices in Australia and the UK. Our flagship program, Patient Experience,

Expectations and Knowledge (PEEK) is a new approach to advocacy and community engagement. CCDR have developed a protocol to collect qual and quant data about patient experience and expectations. We've identified 50 disease areas that we will conduct PEEK studies in various countries over time. PEEK reports provide insights and guidance to the health sector in relation to patient needs across treatment, care, support, information and communication, and a benchmark for future improvements. By conducting studies with the same protocol in different countries, there is also room for comparison across health systems. After 3 to 5 years, we then aim to repeat studies to see what progress has been made through new treatments, clinical protocols, support and care. All of this data will eventually go into a repository that other researchers can access.
