Can we bring the library back to Lockleaze?

Lockleaze Library was closed in October 2024, and since then, hundreds of books have been ordered and returned to the Hub. But lots of us still feel the loss of a proper library service- computers to use, librarian expertise and of course browsing books on shelves.

If we want to get a proper library back to Lockleaze, we’ve got to let Bristol City Council know. Luckily, Bristol Libraries are currently running a survey about the future of libraries in Bristol- and if we work together we can shout loud and clear that we want our library back!

What a beautiful Saturday!

Despite the weather, our third Lockleaze Climate & Nature Festival was just as busy and memorable as usual, all thanks to the amazing Lockleaze community.

We filled the Hub and St Mary's and St James Lockleaze with stalls, music and merriment- extra special thanks to the church for the use of the building.

We were delighted to host Bristol Lord Mayor , especially at the Youth Climate Action Group's flower power bee parade 🐝🌸. A big thank you to all performers, stallholders and volunteers for making the event possible, especially our refreshments team who raised £100 for the community panto.

See all the pics at our blog here!

50% of these flats will be under the Lockleaze Local Lettings Policy, so if you are eligible it's a good idea to get your bid ready.
