Name a Puppy provides you with the wonderful opportunity to be at the heart of a guide dog puppy's story. As well as providing a puppy with a special gift of a name, you’ll follow their journey as they aspire to become a future life-changer.

We have four different naming levels for you to choose from; Name, Raise, Train and Transform. Each one follows the puppy you have named on their unique journey with us, gaining insights into the world of guide dogs through regular pupdates. Some of our naming levels have the opportunity to meet the puppy you’ve named in person too!

The Bristol office recently hosted a 'Buddy Dog Day' for families with buddy dogs. Buddy Dogs are from Guide Dog stock who would have been withdrawn as 'not quite' suitable as a guide dog, but makes a fantastic buddy dog who can support children with a vision impairment, helping to build confidence, independence and wellbeing.
Guide Dogs is working incredibly hard to support children from birth as our latest advert shows.

Our Bristol group have been busy organising Reception Days with local businesses and Universities as they return for the new academic year. Reception Days are a fantastic and meaningful way to raise awareness of Guide Dogs and the work we do. Not only that, but through this support companies make generous donations to the charity which is all thanks to the fantastic work our group volunteers do in promoting the charity. We have two such visits coming up in September at Cameron Mckenna Nabarro Ltd and Burges Salmon both in the City Centre. We will be sure to post photos of this event.

Of course, as this photo shows, our dogs are always the main focus of any event. Pictured here is a photo of our volunteers attending a reception event with the NHS Community Team. There are six volunteers and the NHS lead member of staff stood looking to the camera. There are 3 yellow dogs, one pup in training and two working dogs. There is also a black Labrador/Retriever. None of the dogs are looking to the camera!
