🗣️ Volunteers needed for lunch club and cafe at Meadow Vale

Are you looking to help out in your local community and have some hours to spare each month?

Meadow Vale Community Centre is starting a monthly lunch club for older people on the last Thursday of the month from 12 - 2pm.

We are looking for volunteers who could be available from 11am - 2.45pm to help set up, serve the lunches and help clear up afterwards.

A Free lunch provided for you.

We are also looking for one or two people who would like to do the cooking and food preparation for the club from 10am onwards.

Community Cafe

We run a community cafe on Monday mornings twice a month aimed at the over 55s (10.30am - 12.30pm) and are also looking for volunteers to help serve refreshments, chat to people, set up and take down afterwards (9.30am - 1pm). The cafe runs a series of talks and activities and can be very busy when we have guest speakers. Volunteers would have free refreshments and access to all the activities and talks.

Next cafe dates are Mondays on 15th June and 6th and 20th July, re-starting on 7th September.

For both the lunch club and the cafe you need a friendly and welcoming manner to make attendees feel at ease, especially if they come on their own.
