1st Portishead Guides entered a team in today’s Bristol Monopoly Run.

They have had a fantastic day exploring different parts of Bristol they have never been to before.

1st Portishead Guides made and decorated their own Christmas cakes using baked bean tins, yes you read right, baked bean tins!

During week one the Guides worked together in their patrols to make and mix their own cake batter. This was then put into their baked bean tins which they had already prepared by lining with grease proof and wrapping with newspaper, to protect the cakes whilst they cooked.

The cakes were then taken home and cooked.

Week two allowed the Guides to be creative as they decorated their cakes. Every Guide created a festive treat they should be proud of!
