Something different for November. If you haven't been in the building before look out for at least 2 dragons, one a sculpture, the other in stained glass, both impressive.

Thinking about starting a group to do something to help your neighbourhood? Started a group and want some advice? These could be useful.

We wanted to let you know about a series of free workshops and events, funded by BCC, that might be of interest to groups and VCSE organisations in your area. We're working with local partners to locate sessions around the city, but each one is open to groups across Bristol. We'd really value your help in spreading the word, please!

Attached is a poster, and here's the list up to the end of 2026:

• How to start and run a community group: 15/10/26, 6pm-8pm, Knowle West
• Working with other groups and organisations: 10/11/26, 2pm-4pm, Easton
• Bid Writing Café: 25/11/26, 2-4pm, Southmead
• Getting ready for fundraising: 1/12/26, 6pm-8pm, Online
• Communications Strategy Café: 11/12/26, 10am-12pm, Easton

A reminder about tomorrow's planned roadworks at Netham Lock.

🚦Don't forget that work to replace the traffic lights and build new pedestrian and cycle crossings at Netham Road's junction with Feeder Road is starting tomorrow - Monday 5 October.

This essential maintenance work will take around 10 to 12 weeks and will prevent the aging traffic signals from failing in the future and make it safer to cross the road.

There will be temporary traffic lights and lane closures in place. Please leave more time for your journeys as delays are to be expected.
