Notice to all Hall users:
New rules were introduced by Government in 2025 requiring all workplaces in England to separate their waste before it is collected. Those rules, which are legally enforceable, will extend to micro firms (small businesses and charities) from 2027.

Waste must be separated into categories of dry recyclable waste (glass, metal, plastic and Paper/cardboard) with food waste and contaminated recyclable waste further separated. This will significantly increase the costs of waste collection by the local authority and will be passed on to firms.

Regrettably the hall committee has had to take the decision to ask hirers in future to remove all waste from the hall at the end of the hire.
The change takes effect from 1st January 2027
