We have been packing boxes this week for organisations in Bristol and further afield.
Boxes packed this week for St Peter's Hospice, Southmead Hospital North Bristol NHS Trust
Worcester Royal, Lancashire Teaching Hospital and Royal Berkshire.

Thank you to all of our HCP colleagues who will be using these boxes to support families. Without you, our boxes would not get to where they need to be 🙏💙

Have you ever wondered what goes into our memory boxes?

Each box contains:

A book for the supporting adult.
A book for the child
A journal
A pair of soft toys - one for the child to keep and one to stay with the loved one to create an everlasting bond..
An inkless handprint kit and hair lock bag- to capture precious memories.

We supply boxes in three age ranges - 0-4yrs, 5-12yrs and 13+yrs. Reading and support materials are age specific. Each box and contents costs on average £32 for us to supply. All of this is funded by donations, fundraising and grants.

We hope that these items are just the start and that children can add important items and memories to the box where they can be stored safely. There is also a frame on the front for a photograph.

None of our work would be possible without our tiny team of volunteers- all of our boxes are packed by hand in a small donated space.

We also rely on a much larger network of health and social care professionals, to whom we supply our boxes. We often do not get to meet these special people but we know how important, but difficult your work is. You make a difference and we are proud to support you 💙

The volunteer box packer team have been super busy over the last week, packing and sending out over 100 memory boxes. We have packed boxes for St Peter's Hospice, Leicester Royal Infirmary, NHSBT Organ Donation Services and more.
