Bristol Young Heroes Finalists 2026!📣

Young Bristol would like to congratulate Poppy from Hartcliffe Club for Young People, who has been selected as a finalist for the Sporting Hero award at the Bristol Young Heroes Awards 2026!🎊

Poppy was nominated for the Sporting Hero Award as she has shown extraordinary courage and maturity, and continues to work hard at school whilst pouring her energy into the sport she loves. 💃

Last year, Poppy faced an immense personal heartbreak, with the loss of close family members who were deeply important to her. Even in the face of adversity, Poppy continues to shine and channels her emotions into her dancing. Her positivity, resilience, and dedication inspires everyone around her. 💙

Young Bristol’s Golf Day & Dinner 2026 raises money for young people in Bristol! 🏆👏

On Thursday 18th June, Young Bristol welcomed golfers to Tall Pines Golf Club, to compete for our Golf Day & Dinner trophy on the incredible 18-hole course!⛳

The event saw our teams put their golfing abilities to the test, compete in a number of competitions, dress up in Hawaiian shirts, and win some amazing prizes, all donated by local organisations!🏌️

We were pleased to share that the winning team were 'The Smoking Salmons' from Burges Salmon, who received the trophy, a Young Bristol branded hat and towel, a sleeve of golf balls and a bottle of prosecco!🥂

Thank you to our Title Sponsor, Burges Salmon LLP for making this years Golf Day & Dinner possible, as well as to all the teams that took part, helping us raise vital funds for our work with Bristol’s children and young people!🙌💙

We are pleased to share that Ecosafe Group were awarded 'Highly Commended' for the 'Living Your Social Purpose' Award at the SNG Social Value Awards 2026, after their incredible Social Value work with Young Bristol! 🏆 📣

At the event, Ellie Kershaw, YB Marketing, Communications and Programmes Administrator, spoke about the partnership alongside Carly Gray, Senior Marketing and Social Value Manager at Ecosafe Group about 'Making a difference through social value partnerships'. 🎤

Ecosafe's Social Value work have included completing fire safety works at BS14 Youth Club and mentoring our marketing team, which has supported us to continue achieving our 2025-28 strategic priorities.🙌

We would like to share a huge thank you to both Ecosafe Group and SNG for their incredible social value work at our buildings and with our team, helping us to continue to achieve our 2025-28 strategy. Congratulations to everyone who won an award at the event on Tuesday 10th June 2026. 🥳

Fresh lemonade, made by our Youth Club on Wheels!🍋

Recently on our Youth Club on Wheels, young people across our sessions made fresh lemonade with our team, learning how to safely cut fruit and make homemade drinks!🍹

It was great to see all our groups trying new things, and continuing to build relationships in their local areas.🤝

Our Youth Club on Wheels works in 6 communities across the city, including: Brislington, Henbury, Horfield, Speedwell, St Paul's and Wrington.💙👏

Young Bristol would like to congratulate Rudi-Lee from Avon Youth Club, who has been selected as a finalist for the Learning Hero award at the Bristol Young Heroes Awards 2026!🎊

Rudi-Lee was nominated for the Learning Hero Award as Club Leaders have seen increasing improvements in his overall behaviour and perspective; he has grown in confidence and now actively seeks out opportunities to get involved in activities.⚽

Rudi-Lee has previously struggled behaviourally at Club and at school. He has worked really hard to prove himself, and recently started back at his mainstream school, after attending a provision elsewhere and on the verge of permanent exclusion.💙

Young Bristol's Sculpture Making Competition🗽

This month, we are excited to host our Sculpture Making Competition for all young people that are members of any Young Bristol Club aged 8-19 to take part in!💙

To enter our competition, all you need to do is create a sculpture of junk model out of any material of your choosing.🪵

All entries will need to be submitted to your Club Leader or [email protected], with the entry including your name, age and the club you attend!✉️

One senior and junior winner will be selected from the submissions! Each winner will win a £15 Amazon gift card and a printed version of their written piece!🙌

Run for Young Bristol at the Tough Mudder South West! 🏃‍♂️

Take on an incredible challenge and support young people across the city. Every mile you run will ensure our doors remain open, our youth workers remain present, and young people continue to have somewhere they belong.🏠💙

We have a limited number of FREE places for the Tough Mudder South West on Saturday 15th August, as well as spaces in other races this year. All Young Bristol runners receive a free running vest and support with fundraising.👟
