The Ranch Adventure Playground & Youth Space

Volunteers make our community hubs go round, and we cannot run Greenway Centre and The Ranch Adventure Playground & Youth Space without them.

As well as our community volunteers, companies often help out, and Nine Feet Tall have been doing a sterling job at The Ranch Adventure Playground & Youth Space - helping to keep the grounds in check for our busy weekly play and youth sessions.

Today it was delightful to meet with Felicia and Thomas who did, amongst many tasks, an awful lot of weeding (you can see the pile behind them)!

They were really inquisitive about the work we do here at the Trust in Southmead, and were a pleasure to have around - a massive thanks to them both and the whole company team.

Our lovely partners Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust are sharing these super sessions with RISE Youth Dance.

You will be kicking your legs higher after a few of these classes! 🕺

Tonight we invite new Year 7s to our first welcome session from 6-8 pm 💥

The session will be for Year 7s only - so we can meet each other properly and introduce everyone to all the great things available at The Ranch.

Friday night will also be the same - Year 7s only - and then next week Youth Sessions will be open again to all our usual Youth ages 🥳

Southmead families - spread the word to the Year 7s in your life that the fun begins tonight!

What a brilliant way to finish our summer holiday sessions at The Ranch!

Week 6 brought another fantastic week of fun, and it was a pleasure to have Steve England -Outdoor Learning joining us - keep an eye out for the pink hat in our photos! 🎩

A big thank you also goes to our kitchen volunteer Nick and our drinks man Michael for helping to keep everyone fed and refreshed throughout the summer. 💚

The Ranch is now closed for a well-earned week off before our term-time sessions begin again. We will be back on Tuesday 8th September from 3:30pm-5:30pm.

Thank you to everyone who has helped make it such a great summer at The Ranch - we look forward to seeing you again soon! ☀️

Another action-packed week at The Ranch!

We have been making the most of the outdoors, with plenty of fun, games and activities throughout the week. 🔆

Empire Fighting Chance joined us again for another brilliant boxing session, getting everyone moving and putting their skills to the test! 🥊

And, of course, there was plenty of time to refuel, relax and enjoy being together.

We are looking forward to another great day at The Ranch! 🤹‍♀️

Since Youth Sessions moved to The Ranch just before COVID, it has been a privilege for Southmead Dev Trust to run activities for young people on Wednesday and Friday nights 🫶

Last night our Youth Worker Chloe helped the group to make brownies and this video (thanks Chloe) 💚

Last week was another great week at here The Ranch! 🔆

We had fun in the sun, shade, under water, and on the court for some outdoor boxing.

We love our Empire Fighting Chance sessions and after packing a punch there is always hungry tums to fill 🥘

Young Gym weekday sessions for ages 11-15 happen at Greenway Gym, and boxing sessions with Empire Fighting Chance run from our Boxing Zone and The Ranch 🥊
