We recently returned from our trip to the Mutende project in Zambia. Thanks to all those who contributed - this enabled us to take laptops for the university students, a printer for the school, and one for the office, as well as clothes and toys and games for the children.

It was a very successful trip with ten visiting overall. The majority of us had been before but we had two first time visitors who really got stuck in. As well as the more informal times with the children, there were three football matches arranged during our visit and opportunities to take classes in the school.

One particular highlight was the opening of the school extension. This has been an aspiration for many years and has been constructed over the last two years so it was great to see it finally complete. It will allow the school to better cope with the numbers of children in attendance and enable further development of the site. We are planning on converting some of the existing classrooms to provide a kitchen and potentially a school hall.

It is always good to see the children thriving as they grow up. We were were able to visit those who have gone to University and hear how they are adjusting to living away from Mutende.

Major packing activities today for our forthcoming trip to the Mutende project in Zambia. We have managed to work out how we are going to take the two printers with us. Basically- find two massive suitcases and then surround the printers with children’s underwear!

We’re preparing for another trip to Zambia later this month and the first suitcases have appeared in our hall! Each trip we take a number of supplies for both the children’s village and the school and this time we seem to have more than usual! As well as the usual clothes and craft supplies, this time we’re taking printers and laptops and some new signs for the entrance.

We recently visited the Mutende project in Zambia. It was a joy to be back again and spend time with the children. While we were there we checked on progress with various projects. It was wonderful to see the solar panels in action - it means there is now electricity for 24 hours per day. A highlight was taking the recent grade 12 graduates on a 5 day discipleship and outward bound training course at the YWAM base in Mkushi. It was very powerful time for these young adults as they learnt about their identity in God and walking by faith. Overall a very successful visit!

We have a team heading off to Mutende Children’s village next week. These trips are inportant to maintain contact with the staff and children and to check on various projects and initiatives. We are particularly looking forward to seeing the progress on the school build and spending some dedicated time with the older children who have recently completed their exams!

As usual we will be taking a number of supplies with us which are either difficult to get in Zambia, or are cheaper to purchase in the U.K. We are taking underwear of various sizes, some youth bibles & various other bits and bobs. The photo shows what we collected today. We would be very grateful if you could help with the cost of these.

🎄Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us at The Bridge Trust Ltd! 🎄

Thank you very much for your support of the Trust this year. We've seen lots happening, which is possible because of the donations we've received. A few highlights:

- The first phase of the solar project at Mutende is complete - no more power outages!

- Another student from Mutende has graduated this year

- We heard more amazing stories from the health care workers in Delhi, supporting whole families in the community, not just those with medical needs

- We've been able to walk alongside many who are doing difficult work in other nations, often unseen and at risk to themselves

- A very successful Big Give campaign which has raised the funds to complete the school expansion project at Mutende
