It's National Volunteers Week! 

Every year, National Volunteers Week gives us the chance to celebrate the amazing individuals who give their time and talents to Creative Communities and . Our volunteers give so much to our groups and events and without them, we  wouldn't be able to do what we do.

From music tuition and warm-ups to setting up, providing support, covering sessions and helping run events, our volunteers do so much more than we could ever list!

Service of Remembrance for those who have died affected by homelessness 14.05.26

🗓️Thu 14 May | 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

📍Bristol Cathedral - College Green, Bristol

We are gathering to remember loved ones who have died affected by homelessness.

A list of names of those who died affected by homelessness will be read out during the service.

There will be a performance by  . This event holds special significance for many of our members, and we are pleased to be part of this important occasion. 

All are welcome, including dogs, to share in this time of reflection and community.

☕ Refreshments will be available afterwards.

Bristol Sober Spaces Open Mic Returns to The Arc 30.04.26 🎤

Join us next Thursday at The Arc for Bristol Sober Spaces monthly Sober Open Mic, and this month we're doing things a bit differently! We're collaborating with , who will be bringing a special performance on the night. Don't worry though, performing slots will still be available as normal!

Bristol Sober Spaces open mics welcome all performers — musicians, poets, magicians, and more. Come along to take the stage or simply sit back and enjoy.

Our open mics are open to all, and you don't have to be sober 24/7, just for this night.

Here are a few pictures from our last open mic on the 26th March at Zion Bristol . Thank you to everyone who joined us for a fantastic evening of singing, spoken word, and poetry.

What a fantastic afternoon at our Creative Communities Spring Showcase! 🌼

1 day to go!

Introducing our Creative Writing group, performing at this year's Spring Showcase! 🎶 

Led by Bristol City Poet Sukina Noor and part of our Creative Communities Programme, each session delved into a variety of themes designed to inspire their writing. 

Join us at the Spring Show to hear the pieces they've crafted throughout their workshops! 

Free entry, no need to book — just show up and enjoy!

Creative Communities has hit the ground running in 2026. We've already achieved so much, and it's only February!

- 25 new group members have joined this year

- Hip Hop Garden with returned, this time at our partners the Wellspring Settlement

- 280 tickets sold at our sold-out Dry January Rave at Trinity Fyfe Hall

- Therapeutic Writing with returned with even more members!

-15 members joined 'Change the Record' songwriting course with , with 9 members recording their own song!

- Bristol Recovery Orchestra's Rage Against the Machine recording was used in a theatre production of 'Holding Hands with Angels' by .west

- 4 group members have progressed from Beginners Music to Trinity Move On Music, and now to !
