The CHEESE Project CIC is looking for a Business Manager to help lead and grow their award-winning, community-led organisation in Bristol.

This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who is proactive, organised, passionate about people and the planet, and excited by the opportunity to bring together:

🌍 Sustainability and energy efficiency
🤝 Community engagement and partnerships
💡 Business development and innovation

👥 Team leadership and development

The role is 26 hours per week, Bristol-based with remote/hybrid working, on an initial 8-month contract, with a salary of £39,000–£44,000 FTE (£27,040–£30,506 pro rata).

You don't need to have every skill listed — what really matters is that you're engaged, positive, organised, able to inspire others and passionate about creating meaningful change.

Walk through St Werburghs and St Paul’s to remember Roy Hackett.

Roy was passionate about social justice and was renowned for his involvement in the Bristol Bus Boycott y loved to walk around his neighbourhood, stopping and talking to friends and strangers alike along the way.

The walk will include stops at places connected to Roy as well as other points of history in the area. It will be led by Ruth Pitter and Richard Dixon, activists in Roy’s footsteps, who will share stories of Roy’s life and the area.

The walk is 1.5 hours and will be a loop starting and ending at St Werburghs Community Centre.
