We’re excited to be recruiting for new roles at 224 Youth Zone as we move closer to opening our brand-new, purpose-built space for young people in South Bristol.

224 Youth Zone has been shaped by young people from the very start, from the design of the building to the activities and culture that will fill it. We’re now growing a team of passionate, values-led youth workers who want to work alongside young people, support their ideas and help create a space where everyone feels welcome, safe and inspired.

These roles are an opportunity to be part of the opening team for a landmark youth facility, delivering high-quality, open-access youth work across creativity, inclusion, outdoor and wellbeing, sports and physical activity.

🎉 Today we’re delighted to introduce Jesse to the team! 🎉

Jesse has recently joined us as our Seniors Lead, coming on board at an incredibly exciting time as we move closer to opening 224 Youth Zone, a brand-new space for young people.

We’re thrilled to have Jesse with us as we continue to build the team that will bring this next chapter to life.

Until 224 Youth Zone officially opens, Jesse will be leading our current Seniors Sessions as usual from The Park Centre.

We’re delighted to welcome Ruth as our new Head of Business Operations at 224 Youth Zone, joining us at such an exciting moment as we continue to build the team that will open this brand-new space for young people in South Bristol.

Ruth brings over 15 years of experience in venue operations and leadership, having worked across visitor attractions, arts venues and community spaces throughout the UK. She has seen first-hand the power of well-run, welcoming environments to unlock creativity, connection and opportunity, values that sit right at the heart of 224.

With a strong commitment to legacy-building and giving back, Ruth joins us as we move closer to opening a Youth Zone that will have a lasting, positive impact on young people and the wider community.

We’re thrilled to have her on board as part of the growing 224 team, and we can’t wait to see the difference she’ll help make as we get ready to open our doors. 🚀💜

We’re thrilled to announce a new partnership!

224 Youth Zone and Young Bristol are joining forces ahead of opening later this year – a collaboration that brings together two organisations deeply committed to supporting young people across Bristol.

This partnership will strengthen opportunities for young people to access high-quality youth work, activities and pathways that help them build skills, connections and confidence. At a time when young people need safe, inspiring spaces more than ever, working together means we can do even more to meet diverse needs and imagination.

224 Youth Zone will be a world-class space in south Bristol, offering over 20 activities, from sports and creative arts to employability and wellbeing support, delivered with passion by skilled youth workers. Young Bristol’s expertise and reach will play an important part in shaping programmes that are inclusive, empowering and genuinely youth-centred.

While progress continues at pace on 224 Youth Zone, our team has remained firmly focused on delivering high-quality youth work for young people across South Bristol, ensuring they have fun, welcoming spaces where they feel seen, heard and valued.

Last year we delivered 478 sessions, providing 12,938 hours of meaningful contact and 726 hours of one-to-one mentoring.

The impact of this work is reflected clearly in young people’s feedback:

▶️100% said they feel supported by staff when they have a worry or problem.

▶️100% said they look forward to attending Youth Moves.

▶️100% of parents and guardians said they would recommend Youth Moves to other families.

These outcomes reinforce the importance of trusted relationships, safe spaces and consistent support, and they strengthen our commitment as we look ahead to expanding our reach at 224 Youth Zone. We can't wait to bring this amazing new space to South Bristol!
