Bristol Sustainability Jam

Bristol Sustainability Jam The Bristol Sustainability Jam is an annual workshop around Sustainability & Design Thinking, for UoB Bristol is organising its first sustainability jam.

A handful of students from Bristol University and the University of the West of England has come together to organise this one-off event. The idea is to bring students from different disciplines and backgrounds together over a weekend to brainstorm with like-minded people on the social, economic and environmental challenges that societies are currently facing. Central to the weekend is the design

thinking method. Design thinking experts will lead on hands-on workshops, which will prompt the students to be creative and innovative, and to come up with sustainability ideas, products, services and/or initiatives. The students can expect a weekend full of presentations from inspirational speakers, an introduction to design thinking and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, activities that encourage students to be systems-thinkers and pro-active out-of-the-box thinkers, and not to forget: sustainable food. At the end of the weekend the students will get the opportunity to present their results. The event will start on Friday evening the 10th of November and ends on Sunday afternoon the 12th of November. It will be free and open to all university students. We will keep you updated on when you can sign up to the jam. If you have any questions about the jam or want to get involved, please contact us on: [email protected].
