A BIG Diolch Yn Fawr goes out to all our volunteers that keep Young Lives vs Cancer moving in Wales. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

This we want to shine a spotlight on the wonderful work you do and remind you how important you are for every hour of time you give.

Volunteering is not just about giving time; it's about making a difference. Our volunteers help create a supportive community, raise awareness, and drive positive change.

Without volunteers supporting every aspect of our work, we couldn’t continue to support children, young people and their families through cancer.

With volunteers supporting every aspect of our work, we can be there for the next child or young person who needs us, whilst also influencing change to create a better future for young cancer patients.

Diolch MAWR i'n holl wirfoddolwyr sy'n cadw Bywydau Ifanc yn erbyn Canser i symud yng Nghymru.

Yn ystod yr rydym am dynnu sylw at y gwaith gwych rydych chi'n ei wneud a'ch atgoffa pa mor bwysig ydych chi am bob awr o amser rydych chi'n ei roi.

Nid rhoi amser yn unig yw gwirfoddoli; mae'n ymwneud â gwneud gwahaniaeth. Mae ein gwirfoddolwyr yn helpu i greu cymuned gefnogol, codi ymwybyddiaeth, a gyrru newid cadarnhaol.

Heb wirfoddolwyr yn cefnogi pob agwedd ar ein gwaith, ni allem barhau i gefnogi plant, pobl ifanc a'u teuluoedd trwy ganser.

Gyda gwirfoddolwyr yn cefnogi pob agwedd ar ein gwaith, gallwn fod yno i'r plentyn neu'r person ifanc nesaf sydd ei angen arnom, tra hefyd yn dylanwadu ar newid i greu dyfodol gwell i gleifion canser ifanc.

We are super excited to share some photos taken from Rammlied's epic Ted Newton stage performance at the Teddy Rocks Festival this year. 🎸🔥

The UK's number one Rammstein tribute band chose to support Young Lives vs Cancer by fundraising through their 2026 performances. They have already raised enough to pay for a family facing cancer to stay in one of Young Lives vs Cancer's 10 Homes from Home for a whole week... it turns out rock stars make incredible fundraisers too! 🤘🤩

Thank you to Rammlied and all of their fans who have been so generous. We simply couldn't be there for children and young people facing cancer without you. 💖

You can head to Rammlied's fundraising page via the link below. Thank you.

📢They did it!! Dave Blackmore, from Anglesey, has cycled over 1,000 miles from Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise funds for Young Lives vs Cancer, the leading UK charity for children and young people with cancer and their families, and Teenage Cancer Trust.

Dave and his family were supported by the charities when his son, Shôn, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in June 2025.

Shôn was studying law at University of Liverpool at the time before falling ill. Since then, he has had multiple surgeries and several rounds of chemotherapy.

Now, dad Dave and his friends Marc and Martin have cycled the length of the UK from Land’s End to John O’Groats to give back to the charities who supported Shôn and his family during treatment.

There really is no mountain they won't climb on two wheels and we are so grateful to them for supporting Young Lives vs Cancer on this challenge.

Wales will go to the polls in May, with over 16s having their say in who should represent them in the Senedd. This will be a key opportunity for political parties in Wales to prioritise the needs of children and young people with cancer and bring about a shift in strategy that is long overdue.

We’ve created a toolkit to help you speak to your MS candidates about the needs of children and young people with cancer and their families ahead of the election:
(EN) https://ow.ly/oKbu50YNs0R
(CY) https://ow.ly/hAZi50YNs0S

Through our manifesto, we’re calling for the next Welsh Government to commit to:

*A dedicated strategic approach for children and young people with cancer
*A Young Cancer Patient Travel Fund
*Improved experience of diagnosis
*Comprehensive support during and beyond treatment

Thank you to all of our incredible supporters for signing, sharing and raising awareness of our petition and the need for a Young Cancer Patient Travel Fund. We couldn’t have done it without all of you.

Diolch yn fawr 🫶

10 Downing Street....you’ve got mail!

Our petition for a Young Cancer Patient Travel Fund has officially been delivered to the government. This is the moment Vic, Dylan and his mum, our CEO and one of our amazing social workers Kate knocked on the door of No.10 and handed in the petition.

Thank you to all of our incredible supporters for signing, sharing and raising awareness of our petition and the need for a Young Cancer Patient Travel Fund. We couldn’t have done it without all of you.

What now? As we reached over 10,000 signatures (over 11,000 now – thank you everyone!), It's over to the government now to consider and respond to the voices of children and young people with cancer.

In the meantime, the petition is still open so please keep signing it to support the need for a Young Cancer Patient Travel Fund and show how important it is for young people with cancer and their families.
