Find your nearest unit at: sea-cadets.org/units If you are aged between 10 and 12 (or from 9 at some Units) you can join as a Junior, 12 to 18 as a Sea Cadet and 13 to 18 as a Royal Marines Cadet, and join 14,000 other Sea Cadets across the UK.

Ten Tors Challenge 2026 took place on the 8th-10th May over Dartmoor National Park.
Sea Cadets returned to the Challenge in 2024 after an absence of over 10 years! Each year since, over 60 Sea Cadets from South West Area have registered and taken part in outdoor training during November - May.

The amazing Ten Tors training team (our incredible SW volunteers) ensure our cadets are trained, prepared and ready to take on the challenge.
This year, South West Area entered a 35-mile team, 45-mile team and 55-mile team!

I and the whole Ten Tors Challenge family, parents, relatives and friends were delighted and proud to witness them all complete their respective challenges on the Sunday.

All 60+ cadets who registered have learned new skills and confidence in the outdoor environment, whether they managed to be a team member or took part in some of the training.

All cadets displayed our corps values and much more; fine ambassadors of MSSC!
