🚨⚠️YOUR VILLAGE HALL NEEDS YOU⚠️🚨

Over the coming years, we will need to spend tens of thousands of pounds updating and maintaining the hall for future generations to use.

We need to replace rotten wooden panels and weatherproof the whole exterior; replace and insulate the flat roof; update our audio visual provision; resurface our carpark; and much more!

We're launching our official fundraiser soon, but as part of we wanted to put a call out for fundraisers from within our incredible community! Do you have any ideas for raising money towards our future maintenance and repairs expenses? If so, we'd love to hear them! Good afternoon, finest villagers in the land!

At our Village Hall Committee meeting last night we floated the idea of starting an annual Christmas Fair at the Village Hall from this year.

I've taken the onus of gauging interest in and around the village, and researching the best dates and such to be able to run one.

I would like to know what you all think on the topic?

We'd want to run it from the Village Hall around the end of November/beginning of December and of course will be advertising for makers/sellers/producers out of the village too, but my priority will always be to our own, first and foremost. Could you answer the questions below, and let me know via comment or Messenger?

* Would you like to pay for a table at the market to sell your wares?

* Would you be up for visiting the fair as a buyer/browser?

* If a seller, what would you sell?

* If a buyer, what would you like to see on offer?

* If interested in buying or selling, are there any weekends that you would NOT be available?

* What sort of entertainment would you like to see alongside the market tables/stalls and the bar?

The proceeds from table fees, bar sales and anything else developed in the meantime would go to the many maintenance issues that we need to fund at the Village Hall to ensure its future viability and functionality - you'll hear more about this in the near future!

Thanks for reading, and please do get in touch with your ideas/wishes/requests - this event is NOT a definite yet! I need to know that there is an interest for it first! So please please do let me know your thoughts so that I can feed back to other committee members and we can move forwards :)
