We are supporting the University of Bristol to recruit participants for a paid creative workshop exploring how experiences of healthcare and education systems shape outcomes for Black and mixed Black young people in Bristol.

We’re looking for Black and mixed Black young people aged 16+ to take part and share their experiences in a workshop session delivered by Rising Arts Agency.

Your voice can help shape recommendations for local health and education leaders.

For participating, you’ll receive:

✅ A £60 Love-to-Shop voucher
✅ A meal provided
✅ The opportunity to have your voice heard and influence future recommendations

🚀 Our first Launch Academy Cohort just graduated (and have reached for the stars!)🚀

Last week Babbasa worked with TLT Early Careers & Lloyds Banking Group to hold a jam packed insight day! 📖

We explored epic career pathways into: law, finance, tech, project management and others you never would’ve thought of. 🤯

We also got to brush up our employability skills: from networking with partners + apprentices, to practicing in mock interviews and even doing our very own Dragons Den style pitches! ➡️ 100% of our young attendees said this was REALLY valuable?

If you weren’t at last week’s insight day at the Bristol Digital Futures Institute, you missed out! - we got to see and experience:

🎥 Europe’s only Smart cinema. 18 Dolby atmos speakers, seeing how science is implemented and used to study how we perceive film and tv!

🎬 Witnessing how new film studios work, studios like these are the future of tech and are used for shows like the Mandolorian! For those who well versed in Tech, they are setting up 8K streaming 😍

👀 We got to experience advanced virtual reality that’s used in a 5D space: no joysticks needed! Seeing historical spaces, seeing how it can be used to explore the human anatomy and even fashion.

There was so much to do and see!

This is why yesterday saw the launch of our new Launch Academy programme.

Based on the findings of our Young People's Needs research report earlier this year, this programme provides young people with a mentor, employment opportunities, and new connections.
