It is really sad to see that Bristol is listed in the report as one of the five cities with the highest recorded number of deaths. Thank you to Museum of Homelessness for your outstanding report as always. May they all rest in peace

With heavy hearts we have published the full findings for our 2025 Dying Homeless Project report. You can access the report with full analysis via the link in our comments.

We will gather tonight for our annual National Vigil to remember all those who have died whilst homeless in 2025.

All welcome, we gather from 6pm opposite Downing Street with the names read at 6.45pm.

Anyone who wants to go together, we will gather at Museum of Homelessness from 4pm.

A big thank you to StreetVet for coming to meet a client & their beloved dog during outreach at the weekend. We met the pair, the gentleman was so worried about his fur baby, we explained where the StreetVet team would be located but he really didn't think the poor dog could make the journey. One of our team went & asked if the vets could possibly come & visit, which they did. The chap & his dog were so very grateful, as were we! Today's outreach was very mixed, someone really pleased that they have been accomodated but now in need of the basics, another client has sadly found themselves back on the streets. We also came across someone sleeping on the ground in Brunswick Square, his friends said that he was fine, just asleep, we checked. Other people checked & he got extremely agitated because he was being disturbed, which is totally understandable. It is often easier & safer for people to sleep during the day

Exciting things are happening across the homelessness sector — not just in our city, but right across the region. And with that comes an incredible opportunity to do things differently, think bigger and achieve more together.
Now is the time to break down barriers, build stronger partnerships and learn from one another. Whether we are a small voluntary organisation, a community-led project or a commissioned service, we all have something valuable to bring to the table. Every experience, every idea and every connection has the potential to make a difference.
The Rough Sleepers Programme gives us an ambitious opportunity to work towards a future where everyone sleeping rough has an offer of accommodation. We know the scale of the challenge. We know there is so much work to do. But we must not lose sight of what is possible when we work together with a shared purpose.
We have the knowledge. We have the expertise. We have the passion, the commitment and the determination to make change happen.
No single organisation can do this alone — but together, we can achieve so much more.
Let’s turn opportunity into action, collaboration into progress, and our shared ambition into a reality.
Because behind every statistic is a human being. Every life matters. Every person deserves dignity, safety and the opportunity to rebuild their future.
Ending rough sleeping is an ambition worth fighting for — and together, we have the power to make a difference. ❤️

An absolute glorious morning in St James park with the ever amazing ESC- Eddies Street Cuts. We actually lost count of the number of haircuts (sorry!) Everyone was having so much fun chatting but in amongst the chat there were some serious conversations taking place regarding housing, substance misuse & safeguarding. Thank you Eddie Ilic & team, the ladies from Christ Church Clifton & Everyone at BOSHxBTB who made this possible #

Housing Matters are looking for around 4 people who can join an informal 30-minute 1:1 conversation. There are no right or wrong answers, just a chance to share experiences and opinions.
Sessions will be recorded only for transcription. Everything shared will be anonymous and confidential.
They are looking for people who have experienced homelessness or rough sleeping within the last 5 years. Homelessness can include having no safe place to live, being at risk of violence or abuse, or living somewhere that is not reasonable or secure.
