A summary of the last 3 nights at T.S. Enterprise! Lots of boating, lots of new qualifications and a bit of German! From Divisions and lunges, to sewing on badges it’s been a busy week and a half!

*IMPORTANT NOTICE*

Unfortunately due to high winds expected this evening in Bristol we will have to cancel this evenings plans.

In accordance with our regulations and assessment of risk, we are unable to boat in conditions where wind speeds regularly exceed force 4. This evening we are expecting gusts at/exceeding force 7.

As such we cannot get out on the water tonight. I appreciate this is disappointing but safety comes first - the upshot is that starting next week we should have some additional boating options available with power and sailing on the menu as well as rowing.

Looks like Junior Cadet Aria had a great weekend at Avon District Sea Cadets Junior Weekend - receiving both her Rowing Taster Certificate (Row 1) and RYA Sailing Taster Certificate, as presented our District Officer!

And we’re afloat! Great first night on the water for Avonmouth Sea Cadets at Bristol Adventure Sea Cadets and Royal Marines Cadets. Thanks to our friends at Bristol for the facilities and support.

Our cadets had a good skills recap in the powerboats whilst our rowers started working towards their Row 1, 2 and 3 qualifications.

Wrapping up a busy weekend for TS Enterprise, Able Cadet Will took part in the Ten Torrs Challenge with South West Area Sea Cadets.

This involved gruelling hikes across Dartmoor and a range of camp craft and expeditionary skills. Well done

Last night we welcomed the Avon District command team to Avonmouth for our annual Unit Review. Our cadets continued with their German language pilot programme, showcased their Drill and Ceremonial skills, and our District Officer presented our cadets with some promotions and new qualifications.

Congratulations to C1C Freddie on his intermediate First Aid qualification, CDT Lucy on her promotion to Cadet, Junior First Class Jacob on his promotion, and Junior Cadet Dube on his enrolment into our Junior Division.

To top it off, it was a win for Sirius Division for Division of the month for April!
