For her nature at night creative social media submission, Sasha Pollington wrote this gorgeous poem interwoven with sounds and visuals of nature at night.

For the nature at night creative submissions at Festival of Nature 2026, Ella Webb created a stop motion video to educate people of the effects of artificial light at night and to advise what we could do in the Bristol area and within our own homes to prevent light pollution.

Another nature at night creative submission as part of this year's Festival of Nature, Aurora Amaryllis created this poem about the native honeysuckle and the authors fond childhood memories of sucking out the nectar at night, which is when the flowers' scent is strongest. She likens the flowers to little stars/constellations for wayfinding. Her honeysuckle painting accompanies the poem too.

Did you drop by our new 'How-To' tent this Festival of Nature? Across Wild Weekend, the tent was full of talks and workshops for all ages. We had such a blast that we've got one more 'How-To' session online tomorrow evening (Thursday 16th July) at 6pm!

Calling all young changemakers!🌱

Next week, join this free online talk examining the role of youth leadership in addressing the nature and climate crises. The session will highlight practical ways young people can influence policy, shape public conversations, and lead positive change.

Speaker Ellen Bradley, Co‑Director of UK Youth for Nature, brings expertise in creative campaigning and youth engagement. UKY4N is a network of 16–35‑year‑olds from across the UK calling for stronger government action on the nature crisis.

The brilliant are looking for volunteers to help at their Community Gathering on 11th July at Bristol Sparks. This interactive community event will explore how action at every level can contribute to nature's recovery – from individual choices and local community projects to wider regional collaboration. Volunteers will play an important role in welcoming visitors, supporting activities, and helping the day run smoothly.
