Here’s some gorgeous abundance from our monthly volunteer session yesterday in our herb garden yesterday, everything is looking so luscious!

We had a good skullcap harvest that we will add in to our nervine mixes - we have an anti-anxiety ‘relax’ tea and similar glycerite mix plus a sleep tea mix. Insomnia, stress and anxiety are what many people come to us to ask for help with and it’s good to have a selection of things we can offer. 💚

Ah it’s June and time for another new page from our medicinal mushroom calendar. The variety of each month’s page is so delightful to enjoy on a daily basis!

This month’s page features the Jelly Ear fungus, with a long tradition of use as an infusion for sore throats and eye irritations, with high iron levels and anti-viral properties. They are also used in traditional Chinese medicine and known for promoting long life and good health. ♥️

Has anyone had a go yet at making this incredible recipe by for Miso Caramel Jelly Ear Mushroom Chocolates?

The Jelly-Ear-growing-on-Elder-tree-with-visiting-blue-tit illustration was done by Peter McGain, the father of one of our core team (proud daughter moment!). Peter has also helped us with some of these pictograms for our range of medicines that help to easily communicate their uses.

A few of us have been at this morning for our regular monthly visit with our medicine cart, lots of lovely chats as usual, lots of different medicines shared and we always get such a warm welcome from the team there, it’s such a lovely project to be connected to 💚

PS you can still snap up a super cheap £5 calendar through our web page xx

A few photos from the gorgeousness of our herb garden this month 💚

We use rose petals in our relax tea mix (although we sadly don’t grow enough to use our own). They’re such a wonderful addition to any tea, with their uplifting and nervine relaxant qualities and are used specifically for grief and loss. The abundance of roses in bloom everywhere at the moment is so incredible!

Gorgeous sunny late afternoon yesterday with gathering fresh wild spring greens and all their nutritional goodness to make our year’s batch of mineral tonic vinegar. Nettles, cleavers, dandelion leaf, plantain and some added dried horsetail with the amazing home made apple cider vinegar from Royate Hill community garden. These big jars will sit on our windowsill for a few weeks before we strain and bottle.

Wow already it’s April and gorgeous greens bursting out everywhere and time to turn over another beautiful page of our 2026 calendar! This one features St George’s Mushrooms, illustrated by .forager with a yummy pâté recipe by and further content about the anti-fungal properties of this mushroom by .gillam - so many great contributors!

Our calendars are still on sale at the massively reduced price of £7… gorgeous images to frame, recipes to cut out, pretty cards to make, any other lovely creative ideas out there?

We just realised that in all our calendar frenzy around the turn of the year we hadn’t even hung one up in our storage room, so here it is, with our shelves stocked with lovely medicines.

April blessings x 💚

Loads of lovely medicines made this week in our monthly medicine evening

A great restocking of our muscle rub that remains one of our most used items, with people regularly coming back to tell us what a difference it made and to take more.

A mineral rich tea mix full of good nutritive herbs - great for those who might have a poor diet or not enough access to fresh vegetables, and great as a spring tonic and for general well being.

We pressed out the trial run of our cough glycerite that has been sat on our windowsill for a couple of months - loads of lovely goodness in here and a great replenishment of stocks of another of our most popular remedies!

The last slide is the luscious rosemary plant with a fab view that has gone into this mix! 💚

Yay it’s March and another calendar page to turn over. We’ve been with our medicine cart this morning to the super lovely drop in project so here’s a little glimpse of our medicine table and stock. Going regularly to the projects that we visit allows us to slowly build up relationships with the people there. Today we had a lovely conversation about Bulgarian roses and different ways of making oil infusions, plus some evolving plans for a balm making workshop and herb garden visits.

The March page of our calendar is all about lion’s mane, with a project story from , a hot chocolate recipe by .botanics and illustrated by .

We’ve still got some calendars left, on sale for £7!! Worth it for the content alone even if you don’t need the calendar!

We have also slashed the price of our calendar down to £7 (originally £17). We’d much rather that the calendars we have left be out in the world and enjoyed than sitting in a box in storage. Buy an extra one to cut out the beautiful pictures to frame or to save the recipes in a recipe folder, or for anywhere else in your home you can hang a gorgeous calendar!! We’ve still got a few left, they’re stashed full of great information and we would love to keep sharing them. All sales directly support our work, follow the link in our bio.

Also happy Imbolc! The light is really returning 🤍💛
