Miguel, one of our brilliant license holders led a bat box check recently at a site where earlier this year, we found Noctules! 🦇
Sadly no Noctules this visit, but a charming handful of soprano pipistrelles who delighted our attendees 🦇
As we are experiencing a very warm October box checks are still underway. In our ever changing climate we find increasingly that we must follow the temperatures rather than the months or seasons. Rest assured box checks are not undertaken when there is risk of disturbing bats in torpor 🦇
